A traditional dar, in a historic medina, on the Om Rebbia river and very close to the sea. A choice of either a double or twin room. 2 roof terraces with amazing views of the ramparts, and a glimpse of the river. Very romantic! The medina is full of interest. Historically it is very important, and has wonderful examples of traditional moroccan architecture. Azemmour is famous for its embroidery and weaving and artisans studios can still be found in the medina - just look for the colourful skeins of wool! Many artists have also made their home in the medina attracted by the tranquility and the beautiful light emanating from the river and sea. Azemmour has an annual Art festival in May, when the medina is painted with wonderful murals. It is just 1 hour by taxi from Casablanca airport, from Marrakech it's 3 hours by road (N7), and is a wonderful restful place to spend a few days or more wandering around the medina, swimming in the sea, and taking a boat trip on the river.
