Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Carlingford Lough

We were travelling with friends and everyone enjoyed the stay and we felt lucky to have found Ciaran's place, which had everything we needed and more. It is located in a beautiful peaceful place, walkable distance to the sea side. We chose to Uber it to the city center, but it is also possible to use public transport. It was easy to follow the instructions from Ciaran and we felt right like at home. Huge thanks!

At first I thought it was maybe a little pricey, but to be honest it immediately felt like home and the location could not be better. We all loved it, especially our sheepadoodle Toby who enjoyed watching pooches and owners pass by every morning and he enjoyed every minute of playing on the beach, he made a lot of doggy friends and checked his peemails every morning to see who was playing out. We will be returning and Lynsey is the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble and we weren’t rushed out on our last day, which gave us an extra day to enjoy the sun and the facilities. A Great house for a north coast get away, great access for both portrush and portstewart, both within walking distance. House was spotless and had everything we needed, it was great to have on site parking right at the front door! Great host who was very responsive and made everything clear and simple. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to all, the perfect get away for a family. 10/10!

Great location - you can easily into the town centre and there’s a lovely walk along the river nearby too!

Lynne was great, letting us in early and having made a nice warm fire as we arrived on a chilly damp day. Lynne stayed in touch throughout the trip and brought over more logs before we even needed to ask. Lovely little garden and everything you need to cook.

Even before we arrived, Alastair was making sure everything was in place for when we arrived, and even messaged the day before to offer an early check-in which was great for a family of five and a dog just off the night-ferry. The house was fantastic and so comfortable, we always looked forward to get back to it after a busy day out exploring. The games for the kids and the blanket for the dog made it even more special. We shall be coming back and using it again! Thanks Alastair!

Fantastic Airbnb. We ate most meals out, but the kitchen looked very equipped with necessities. The snack basket was a nice touch! Modern decor, clean, large rooms, lots of storage. Great location. Easy check in. Friendly and helpful host. I'd love to stay again the next time we are in Derry!

Absolutely amazing house. We stayed with our 9 month old daughter, her grandparents and our 1 year old Labrador and still had plenty of room. Beach is 5-10 min walk away with a beach club pub to stop in on the way home for a beer! Beach is absolutely incredible. Overall perfect house for a family especially if you have a dog who loves a good run on the sand!

We spent a lovely night at Tree Top. The clean and comfy cabin is in a beautiful spot overlooking the whole park, the sun sets in front of the cabin. You can watch it setting behind the mountains from the sofa and decking. The river is right along side and it is so relaxing to be amongst the trees with the birds singing listening to the water gushing below. Great for exploring the area too, quick into Caernarfon town where there are plenty of places to eat and a convenient Morrisons for any bits you need. Dinas dog friendly beach was about 15 mins drive away and also easy access to Anglesey. Carla is a great host, attentive and super friendly.

“Caitriona’s BnB is an absolute gem! Nestled on a beautiful private farm with a peaceful babbling brook, it’s the perfect retreat. The pizza oven was a fun touch, and the hot tub was always warm and ready to enjoy. It’s an ideal spot to unwind with a good book, surrounded by nature. Caitriona provided fantastic hiking and sightseeing recommendations that made our stay even more memorable. We truly didn’t want to leave—already looking forward to coming back!”

We absolutely loved our stay at Rock Farm Slane! The place is so peaceful, surrounded by nature, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Our dog, Zoe, had the best time exploring the wide, walkable spaces and taking in the beautiful sights. The atmosphere is serene, and it’s a wonderful spot to relax and unwind. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway—especially for those with pets who love the outdoors! We’ll definitely be back.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a great couple of days with kids and the dog. The site has lots to do but also plenty to do off site. The beach is beautiful and we got lucky with the weather. We had a perfect sunny day. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely stay, there was a little hiccup but was able to contact Charlotte who responded straight away, and it was resolved. Site had everything we needed, and was situated near to everything we wanted do/see. Would 100% recommend.

We stayed here over February half term as a family get away of 12 people. The house was warm, cozy and inviting. It was like being at home. The upstairs lounge with views over the sea was a real show stopper! 10-15 minute walk to the beach and stunning views all around. Hosts were great with sorting a heating issue before we even arrived, great communication. Would highly recommend, and will be revisiting in warmer months to enjoy the pool.

We had a fantastic Easter weekend stay in Dublin! The location was ideal—close enough to drive or taxi to the main sights, but tucked away enough to feel like a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. The cottage was spotless, stylish, and had everything we needed, from a well-equipped kitchen to thoughtful touches like local guides and some groceries to start us off. The best beds and bedding we’ve had in an airbnb. Sarah, our host was warm, responsive, and full of great recommendations that made our trip even more memorable. Dublin was buzzing over the long weekend, and it was great to have such a comfortable home base to come back to each night. Anthony was also a welcomed treat. We’d absolutely stay again, highly recommend!

We needed a comfy & cosy place to rest our feet & paws for a few days as we we’re competing at the UKFL Flyball competition. The apartment certainly lived up to the description & many of the reviews. Our stay was lovely, great views, peaceful & just perfect after a day racing.

We enjoyed our stay at The Little Black Burrow ◡̈ It was so cute and we loved the little lamb out front! 💕🐑 Check in was easy and it was so close to a lot of fun things in the area!

Fabulous stay at Mountain Studios. Lliwen called to let us know the cottage was ready earlier than we expected which was so kind and allowed us to have just a little longer than we thought in the idyllic surroundings.

Absolutel gem in Portrush - amazing location, house was beautifully decorated, clean comfy and a home away from home vibe! Stand out for us was that the garden is fully enclosed so it really is dog friendly we let them run about and have fun outside without fear they could slip away under a gap! Absolutely will be back ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Great place to stay. Well equipped and as described. In response to negative comments about house rules. I didn’t find the rules excessive given the fact I would do these at home - cleaning equipment after use and not having shoes in the hallway/bedrooms - there is a large non carpeted areas you can leave shoes on if needed. Loved the little touches of eggs/bread drinks left for us on check in and I’m sure we would stay again. David was responsive to messages.

We spent a fantastic, relaxing weekend in this lovely, cosy, private little cabin which was very well equipped with everything you need. We were greeted by our hosts, who were friendly and helpful and made check in quick and easy. The cabin is set in such a beautiful, peaceful rural location which offers amazing views and allowed us to completely switch off and enjoy some much needed downtime. The welcome basket was such a lovely touch and our little dog really enjoyed her welcome treats too. We will definitely be booking again!
