Beach house vacation rentals in Cape Henlopen

We needed a place to stay while we transitioned to Delaware. This was the perfect place for us. It was close to the beach, comfortable, very quite, and everyone was so friendly. We felt like we were at home even if it was a temporary stop. There was plenty of space and things we needed to make our stay smooth. Shane and Erin were helpful and wonderful hosts, they let us know of upcoming event's and if there was anything we should be aware of. I would recommend this place to couples or families. We stayed during the holidays and it felt magical to be there during this time.

We had an absolutely amazing trip thanks to Jess and Tom’s beautiful home. The location/views can’t be beat, everything was very clean in the house, and we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. We’re already planning next year’s trip!

Fantastic beach getaway. The home was clean and comfortable with extra room even bigger than the pictures. The views were spectacular and the deck actually is accessible from so many places. The directions for keyless entry were clear, but when I wasn’t understanding them the hosts responded immediately and we got in within moments. Comfortable beds and plenty of things in the kitchen - can opener, coffee maker and wine opener as well as things like cutting board and baking sheets. Fridge is huge and there’s tons of ice. Definitely would recommend.

We ran into an issue when we first booked, and Elizabeth went out of her way to make sure it was taken care of. Then, we were delayed in getting there because of Hurricane Helene and she again made sure we were taken care of. Would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area!

Wonderful in every way! Incredible views of Bay. Dolphins! Ospreys! Diving Pelicans! Fabulous song birds! And Bald Eagles in Prime Hook! The place was as described and served our purposes. We very much enjoyed our stay and the host was really quick to respond to any questions we had. I was so happy to be able to bring our dog and have an easily accessible yard to take her out and spigot to clean her with after the beach. Having to bring all of our own linens, beach chairs, toiletries etc was a little tough for just the weekend. It felt the price of the stay was a bit high given that our stay was after labor day, on the bay, and required us to bring so many things. That may just be what the pricing is in the area, this was our first time staying, so I don't have a great frame of reference. Overall a very nice experience.

Highly recommend Erin’s place. My family had a blast - the kids were happy with toys and craft that Erin had carefully curated for her guests. Spacious & clean environment, comfortable settings to relax for a few days - we felt right at home from the moment we got there. Erin was also very proactive as a host, reaching out to us pre-arrival to make sure we had everything we needed, and offered up a late checkout without even asking. The house was beautifully decorated, with refined accents and a long list of amenities which made for a wonderful environment. We would love to return on our next trip to Cape May. Thank you Erin!

Elizabeth's place was so cozy and it felt very welcoming! We got in late on check in day and everything was easy to find in the house. . The house feels very much like home. The kitchen had everything we needed too. Our family of 5 and our 2 dogs loved the space inside as well as the fenced backyard. It had plenty of room and the beds were all very comfortable. Elizabeth was very quick to respond when we had a question too! We would definitely stay here again!!

This is a lovely home in a peaceful and safe neighborhood, perfect for families. We would stay again! It really is just steps to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and supplies to prepare meals. Everything was in working condition. The pool is beautiful! I loved the lights at night. The entire pool area is gated and locked, good to know for little ones. The shower had great water pressure. The outdoor shower has hot water too! The TV was very easy to use and had many options. Of note, the entire upstairs could accommodate a second family with a mini fridge, half bathroom, two beds, separate entrance, sofa/tv/table/patio - the photos really don’t do this home justice. I was very impressed when I walked inside. My kids LOVED the adorable spiral staircase to get upstairs! We had no problems with it, but it would be hard to keep little climbers off of it. The master bedroom is downstairs, something to consider with littles that wake up in the night and need to get down.

Shawn and Terri’s air bnb went above and beyond my expectations! We decided not to stay on the beach this year but I didn’t realize that we’d still be right on the bay! There’s a peer overlooking the ocean that was just a five minute walk away. Not only that, but the community itself was private, peaceful, and had everything you could ever need to stay busy! There were two pools, ball courts, and playgrounds all walking distance. The residents were kind and welcoming. Assateague beach was a five minute drive away and restaurants only a ten minute drive! The main strip of ocean city was super close. The air bnb itself was clean and beautifully decorated. There were extra blankets, amenities, my son loved the cards and coloring books! All in all this was the perfect place to stay.

This house was everything I could have asked for! Easy to find, cozy beachy vibe, and a short walk to town and the beach. The host listed everything included in the house to help us pack beforehand which I appreciated! There was even salt water taffy waiting for us when we arrived! I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Beautiful property! So close to the bay with absolutely beautiful sunset’s. Convenient to downtown Cape May. Great backyard! Entire family enjoyed the pool, fire pit, & having a fenced in yard. Would highly recommend this place.

This is a great property! The house is gorgeous, the grounds are clean, kept and very private. The house was fully stocked with kitchenware, pool accessories, & decorated tastefully. A lot of delicate artwork and intentional decor- (if traveling with a young child, one needs to watch them closely :) Re: the beds- my 7 year old described it as “sleeping on clouds!” - very comfy! The area is close (2-3 min) to outlet shops and a bunch of restaurants on Costal Highway 1 and about a 6 min drive to the Rehoboth pier. It’s also a central location to other neighboring beach towns.

Tara’s place is very lovely and cozy. The house is a walking distance to the beach. My family and I, including our pets enjoyed our time to the beach. It is also a 20 minute drive to Washington street mall. Tara responded very quickly to all my questions. The house was clean and our check in went in smoothly. House rules are clear and straightforward. The location is great and it’s close to restaurants and groceries. I am looking forward to stay here again especially during summer, because of the pool. Overall our stay was wonderful!

Loved our stay! The house is in a great location. Close enough to walk to the beach and restaurants and yet secluded and peaceful. The house was perfect for our family. A little yard space for the dog and we enjoyed the hot tub. Bill was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. We hope to come back soon. Highly recommend!

Great stay! First the location was amazing: right on the bay with private beach access 1 house over, 10 minutes from grocery and convenience stores and great restaurants, 15-18 minutes from Bethany beach and boardwalk. Second the amenities at the house were perfect: so much communal space to relax, well stocked including kids toys/ play area, sand toys, bikes, kayaks, stroller, beach wagon, umbrella, beach blanket, everything we needed to entertain our toddler just steps to the sand and bay. Third, the house lay out was very accommodating for larger groups/ families. There were 2 primary suites (one on the upper level and one on the main level) both with large walk-in closets (with air vents) that had pack-and-plays set up in them. 2 smaller secondary bedrooms upstairs, but one also had a full kids bed in the walk-in that was decorated princess themed. The kitchen was very well stocked and we had most meals at home. Such a perfect spot, we will be back next year.

One of the best airbnb's we've ever stayed in! Our group consisted of two sisters, their kids (13, 10 and 1.5) and a grandma and the place was absolutely perfect for all our needs. The beautiful rooms and deck are exactly as pictured, the place was exceptionally clean and the decor struck the perfect balance of beauty, function and comfort for all involved. The staircase was solid and carpeted so Grandma had no problems on it and the owners were kind enough to supply a baby gate so the toddler stayed in the room downstairs with her mom and we never needed to worry about her. All the beds have comfortable, new memory foam mattresses and there were extra pillows, blankets and towels at every turn. The whole place even smelled nice with a subtle air freshener. The owners were extremely accessible and thoughtful and reached out with restaurant recommendations in the weeks leading up to our stay. We loved the place and hope to come back next year!

If you are looking for a picturesque and relaxing stay, this is an ideal home. just under a 10 minute drive to local beaches, restaurants and shopping centers, you won't be disappointed. Kelly is an exceptional host who replies within seconds of posed questions. The home is clean, beds are very comfortable and all amenities are considered and available.

We had an excellent time ringing in the New Year at the Rosewood Beach House. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for 8 adults, plus plenty of space for us to play games, cook meals, and simply enjoy each other's company. The property is conveniently located right off Coastal Highway, so it's easy to get to the beach/boardwalk, as well as grocery stores. Overall, this is an excellent place to vacation
