Newly constructed cottage, no corners cut here. The exterior was done in a spruce wood siding, while the interior was done in a local spruce shiplap, white washed for a soft appearance. The cottage is clean, decorated with old and new so that it maintains that cozy feel. The fireplace adds a warm ambiance. You have access to hiking trails across the island, where you may come across Foxes, Caribou, Whales or Icebergs depending on the time of year. Don't forget to visit the Newfoundland ponies.

We all decided this was one of the best places we have stayed - it was clean, it had anything one would need, the view was delightful, the front deck was a perfect spot to sit in the morning with coffee and in the evening too, it was secluded but also close to the fun town of Twilingate - you cannot go wrong staying here. This home was a real gem. It was beautifully decorated, well-stocked and the beds were very comfortable. Small added touches everywhere were very much appreciated including the chairs and fire pit outside, walking sticks, decor from local artists. This home is well cared for and is the quintessential Newfoundland home. The location was very quiet and the view cannot be beat. The fact that there were three icebergs in the backyard when we arrived was the icing on the cake! We cannot recommend Guillaume's home more. Bonavista was definitely a highlight of our road trip across Newfoundland. The restaurants were great and it is a nature lovers paradise... with Spillar's Cove, Dungeon, the Lighthouse and Elliston all within a short drive, it should be on everyone's list. Thank you for an amazing stay!
