This is an eclectic and imaginative one bedroom cottage sanctuary with a front porch swing for watching east Austin mosey on by. Joyous comfort is to be had in the main bedroom with custom cathedral ceiling and tempurpedic bed. The bathroom features a walk in shower with custom tile and a clawfoot tub for all of your bathing dreams. There is an additional sleeping loft should you have a friend or two who would like to accompany you. Please make yourself at home on the front and side porches but we ask that you give some privacy to the back yard immediately surrounding the back house. Thank you! Central East Austin is a diverse and dynamic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. In addition to offering of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood! There is a parking spot that you are welcome to use directly in front of the house and there is also plenty of street parking with no permitting or street cleaning concerns. The closest B-Cycle station is a 15 minute walk away at Victory Grill on 11th St. Many of the 6th St restaurants and bars are a 10 minute walk as well. If you would prefer not to walk, there are a selection of ride share services such as RideAustin (our favorite), Lyft, or Uber. The street has two names, Hamilton Ave and Richard Overton Ave. Depending on your map source you may see either one pop up. Richard Overton is the oldest living American and American World War II veteran at 112 years of age. He lives down the block where be bought a house after the war ended.

Fully updated 2 bed 1 bath duplex in the best location. Both bedrooms have extremely comfortable memory foam queen size beds. The living room is fully furnished with a full couch, seating and TV. Amenities include; wireless gigabit internet, TV, a full kitchen including a Keurig coffee maker and all the basics, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Hip Bouldin Creek is in the heart of all that is Austin is famous for—many popular retailers, restaurants, food trucks, BBQ, music, and art venues. The home is in a prime location with easy access to SoCo, Zilker Park, Barton Springs, and Town Lake. This is the absolute perfect location for just about any special event. Only a 10 min walk to downtown, SoCo, Barton Springs, 6th Street, Rainey and Red River. Palmer Event Center, Long Center and Auditorium Shores is only a block away. There is also bus stop and Bcycle station (bike rental) one block away and you can easily Uber or Lyft to any location in Austin.
