Great location. Woke up to the sounds of birds. very responsive. I would have given it a 5 star all the way, David was amazing and responded in a very timely manner. But, the turn over service could have been much better. The previous guest left a wine bottle in the automatic fridge ice dispenser and it was unfounded until my family found a large peice of glass in their drink, serious hazard to drink glass. Should have been spotted by the turn over service but, who would check the ice maker for a bottle a wine? I understand that. Very uncommon and unfortunate for us. David responded in a very fast manner and gave us options to accommodate the situation. I would have left a 5 star if this was the only thing but everything was so unorganized in the kitchen, they had everything but nothing made sense to why it was there. Sink didn't drain. There were also stains on the sheets and a pizza box left by the fridge that wasn't ours. Little things but the turn over service was a let down.

This house was perfect for a getaway to Bangor! Scott was a great communicator and answered all of our questions about the surrounding area. This house had all the comfort's of home, would highly recommend for anyone traveling in the area.

My family felt instantly at home in Mark’s cozy cottage. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the water and our quiet and peaceful mornings spent by the fire (Mark thoughtfully kept us stocked with wood). If you’re looking to visit MDI it was an easy 30min drive. We cannot wait to return in the future!

The location of the house was perfect for our visit to Acadia. It was very quiet and serene with beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and the fire pit at night. We highly recommended this hidden little gem.

Great stay for our family of 5 adults and 3 toddlers! Lots to do and great proximity to Acadia/Bar Harbor. House was well supplied with clear instructions. Brady also connected with us before the stay and kept in touch for anything that came up as a concern. Thank you!

We loved our stay! Everything was as described and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook several meals. The view is absolutely beautiful from all parts of the house and we loved the outdoor amenities. Lucy was very responsive and gave us some great recommendations! Would love to come back!

The Strawberry house was such an amazing place for my wife and I to spend our first anniversary. We go to midcoast Maine every year and this was certainly a special one for us. Comfortable, thoughtfully designed and accessible to town. Highly recommend!

My family and I had such a peaceful stay. The home and location were incredibly tranquil, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house and property were absolutely beautiful, and we loved sipping our morning coffee on the amazing balconies with the breathtaking views. There is so much space, and every room in the house is well thought out, functional, and cozy. The pool is even better than we hoped, so big and clean and in immaculate condition. We spent most of our time swimming and relaxing by the pool. We also enjoyed playing pool and having so many rooms to gather in with the comfort of plenty of new comfy furniture. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind for a vacation away from all the noise and chaos of daily life. Every single area was as described in the listing and better. My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

Adorable cottage, newly renovated. Perfect for two with an open space loft for one more. Kitchen is well stocked right down to the coffee. A good location if visiting Fort Knox, Mt. Barrie and not too far from Bar Harbor if that is on your list. Great stay, highly recommend. Beautiful view and private.

I recently stayed with my family at this incredible Airbnb that exceeded all my expectations. This property offered a hot tub, a pool table, and a level of privacy and tranquility that made for a truly relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was being able to watch the northern lights from the hot tub – it was absolutely magical. We spent a week in Acadia, and the location was perfect, just 15-20 minutes from Bar Harbor or the nearest town. The hosts were very responsive, and the place was fantastic for families, being both kid and pet friendly. It was a week filled with unforgettable moments, and I can't recommend this place enough!

Aaron's apartment was the perfect place for our group of four - clean, comfortable and in a great location. It had everything we needed, beds were super comfortable, access to the Inn was nice for breakfast and post-hike relaxation in late afternoons. Aaron was a very responsive host. We plan to stay here again next time we come to Bar Harbor.

This was a wonderful weekend getaway. It was an easy 40-minute drive up to Acadia and about 20 minutes to the nearest town with grocery stores and plenty of food to choose from. It was very peaceful and cozy. Becka had all the amenities you'd need and clear instructions. My partner and I had a great time and would stay here again.

Spent a relaxing long weekend at the cabin. Idyllic location right on the water with plenty to do outside. We enjoyed making fires, fishing, and exploring in the canoe. Inside, the cabin was thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. Camden is nearby for a nice dinner or a stroll and shopping downtown. Acadia is also close enough for a day trip. Checkin/checkout was very straightforward, and the host was helpful and quick to answer any questions. Hope to visit again!

This was a truly magical stay! Peaceful, private, comfortable… The most well thought out and welcoming off-grid lodging I’ve ever stayed in! The cabin itself is spectacular and the surrounding garden and forest are just enchanted. Rod was an incredible host, responsive and so accommodating when I needed to shift my reservation. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! Don’t even hesitate on this one!

This house was amazing—hosts really have thought of everything when it comes to guest experience! Kayaking out to the tiny islands in the bay a couple times allowed us to see horseshoe crabs and bald eagles up close. The fire pit was great and the “s’mores station” with supplies in the kitchen upon arrival was so cute and thoughtful. Our three kids loved this place and didn’t want to leave at the end of the week. Our boys especially loved the lower level game room with ping-pong, arcade games, and pop-a-shot. The kids also loved reading on the sofa in the upstairs loft overlooking the kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked dinner there a couple times during the week. The hosts gave great local recommendations as well—the craft beer at Fogtown Brewing in Ellsworth (less than 15-min. drive) is excellent, and it is very kid-friendly with a large outdoor eating area and wood-fired pizza. We’d love to return to this house! Mosquitoes are fierce so bring bug repellent.

I had a lovely visit with a good friend. The air bnb stood out to us because of how beautiful the photos were and they didn’t do the place justice. It was so nice to stay in a place that felt like it was cut from a magazine. The home is in a private space but not far from restaurants and other towns with cute shops. We were close to lots of hiking trails and coastlines. I am quite sure I’ll be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this land. Honestly just perfect. The pad was perfect for setting up our roof tent, the fire pit was perfectly situated and built up, the privacy was bar none while still being within an hour of everything we wanted to do. There was a downed tree making it difficult to find, but Tereza was extremely quick to help us and we had no problem finding it once she responded. Would definitely camp here again!
