At 535m above sea level, the red volcanic soil and a good rainfall ensures a lush environment thrives that is home to a wide range of bird life. The mountain is also home to several vineyards and breweries, a distillery, many many restaurants and cafes, a host of curiosity shops and two farmer and craft markets each month. The mountain caters for those who love nature with many bush walking tracks. It is also the gateway to O’Reillys, Lamington and Binna Burra national parks. Sunset on Handglider Hill over looking Canunga with a glass of wine in hand is not to be missed. This architect-designed house is set on a 1.5-acre property near Mount Tamborine. Facing the sublime beauty of Tingalpa Reservoir, located along a quiet no-through road dotted with similarly executive homes, when you drive past the crest of that road, you have been transported to another world. Our Lake Cabin atop 8,524m² of land offers that magical sense of escape, yet has two major shopping centres, a host of quality amenities and public transport all within a few minutes’ drive. All in all, a private and very special peaceful resort living in a privileged lakeside locale.

Hinterland Barn, national park, cafés, restaurants

This uniquely built barn situated in the Gold Coast hinterland is within walking distance to national parks. Made from recycled wharf timber, the barn is set on an 18 acre farm beset by green lawns. A king bed with ensuite, separate shower & bath make up the loft bedroom. Downstairs features a second bathroom / laundry, fire place, lounge, study & self inflating bed (inflatable bed linen not included), dining & fully equipped kitchen before walking onto a large deck overlooking the rainforest.

The Rustic Greenhouse: breakfast and wood provided

A rustic studio attached to the family home, with its own entrance. Refresh with a complimentary cheese board. Enjoy the plant filled space where you can enjoy a breakfast of fresh bread, eggs, cereal, milk, butter, jam, honey & coffee. At night light the fireplace with the wood provided. Take the picnic basket and rug provided, & explore the Mountain. We are located on the Main Road leading into Gallery Walk. If you are sensitive to road noise we might not be the perfect place for you.

Watch the sunset over the mountain on the porch or walk to dinner at the local pub or eateries. This location gives access to O'Reilly's Rainforest, Tamborine Mountain, wineries and scenic rim attractions. This cottage will be home away from home.

The cottage is one of four nestled on this tranquil five acre bushland property.

Yet we are on a fully cleared, quiet acreage block which boasts beautiful gardens and a dam which is a haven for all birdlife including our pet geese - a bird watchers paradise. As our guests you are invited to stroll through our extensive gardens and if you wish sit around a large firepit with wood supplied from our property.
