A vibrant blue lizard is perched on a textured rock, its body reflecting sunlight. The blurred background contains natural earth tones, complementing the lizard's striking color. The scene provides a close-up view of the lizard's features, including elongated limbs and a smooth, shiny surface.

bed in desert

Wadi Feynan and Gregra are really hot in the summer, and as a geologist this is a tough place to do field work. Mohammed's place was perfect for us to escape the heat and have a air-conditioned room. Also, Mohammed's English is excellent, which really helped when we had truck troubles. The accommodation is modest, three single beds in a room and a bathroom, and there are no electrical outlets besides the one for the air conditioner. But, the place was clean, and was a perfect escape from the heat. Moreover, Mohammed is a great host and willing to help with anything you need.
The kitchen features wooden cabinetry with a granite countertop, offering a functional space for meal preparation. A stainless steel sink is positioned under a window, and a gas stove is placed nearby. The tiled walls add a modern touch to the design.

Motreal apartment | Shobak near petra

The accommodation was as expected, nearby shops a stone's throw away, parking under the window. A little passage on the street but that didn't stop us from resting. We recommend this place Mariana
A rugged canyon carved from stone features towering rock formations and a single tree at its base. The warm tones of the rock contrast with the vibrant green of the tree, creating a harmonious natural scene. The sky above is bright, adding to the openness of the landscape.

wadi Ghuweir bed and hike

Mohammad's camp is a friendly place in a peaceful location where you are made to feel right at home and very well looked after. It's popular with Jordanians as well as tourists which is always a good sign! Mohammad created an experience for us which included spending time with a Bedouin family, visiting his own family in the village, a day shepherding goats in the mountains and a four-day hike to Petra, wild camping in stunning locations along the way. Mohammad was on hand throughout to make sure we had everything we needed, and the whole thing was very well organised. His brother Suleiman who guided us was a brilliant guide and we left with a feeling of having had a very special opportunity to learn first-hand about the way of life in the area, as well as loads of fun. Mohammad recommended a different route to Petra rather than the usual Jordan Trail and it was incredibly beautiful. Would absolutely recommend. Massive thanks to Mohammad and Suleiman for the great time we had.
A cozy outdoor area features several low tables surrounded by comfortable seating, with a central fire pit gently flickering. Traditional tents with dark stripes are visible in the background, set against a rugged landscape showcasing hills and rocky formations.

al-nawatef camp

The camp is located just outside Dana village, overlooking a beautiful valley. The rooms are simple but clean. The people were very friendly and they serve good food. They can also arrange hikes for you.
A bicycle is placed on a winding road surrounded by arid landscapes. Rolling hills and sparse vegetation can be seen in the background under a clear blue sky.
