Our lovely little cottage is about 200 years old. It's cosy and slap bang in the middle of some of the best scenery the UK has to offer. Excellent for walking, cycling or simply site seeing the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District National Park. Castleton is such a pretty little town with it's own castle, 7 watering holes (all dog friendly) fabulous restaurants and delightful cafes. We are situated between Bakewell and Buxton. A walker and cyclist's paradise with Monsal Head only a short walk over the hills. Found upon a hill with some lovely views, surrounded by the peaceful country air in a conservation area, our little cottage is situated on a small farm In Wardlow. A fully self-contained holiday home with its own front and back door. A private yard which overlooks the surrounding fields. Thank you again.

A very spacious, comfortable and well located cottage on the heart of Castleton. Lovely gifts left by the host for us on arrival. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well equipped. Very easy parking just opposite the front gate. Will definitely be back.

We had a lovely few days at Rowan Tree Cottage. The cottage was immaculately clean and tidy and was equipped with everything you need for a confortable break. Our daughters especially loved the easter eggs in the Welcome Pack which was lovely touch for our Easter Break. Jane is a great host and very communicative from booking to check in and onwards. She also bakes a great victoria sponge :) We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

We had a fabulous family stay at The Nook. The cottage is well located, cute and had lots of amenities that made it just like home. The cottage is close to the centre of town which made it nice and easy to enjoy the walks and pubs. We would definitely return. The breakfast at the original Bakewell pudding shop was lovely and had wonderful food options.

We had a wonderful stay at Sam and Annie’s place. The cottage is so spacious for two people, and was very comfortable. Lots of hot water and plenty of firewood to keep the fire going. Just down the road from the Monsal Trail, we enjoyed walking into Bakewell and exploring the area. The local pub does great food too! We would happily return. Sam and Annie were always reachable and willing to help with whatever we needed. Thanks again!!

The surrounding countryside is stunning. Walking to Robin Hood's Stride, in the Spring sunshine, was a holiday highlight. Perfect!

The Homestead was a lovely place to stay in what in our opinion is one of the nicest villages in The Peak District. The cottage exceeded our expectations, even after reading the many glowing reviews. It was homely and welcoming, yet spacious and very well-equipped. Every room was thoughtfully presented. We especially liked cooking in the impressive kitchen and relaxing during the cold evenings in the warm and comforting lounge. Judith is a fantastic host. Her communication was excellent, all instructions clear. It is obvious the she is both an experienced and caring host of many years. Finally a quick shout out for the location. For those that are perhaps new to The Peak District and wondering which part to stay in, Tideswell gets our votes. Wonderful dales walks can be accessed from the village and it is within 15 minutes drive of Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Bakewell and Buxton. We couldn't recommend more highly. When we return to this area, we know where we shall be staying again.

Great stay in Birchover, lovely, cozy flat area - amazing breakfast spread and we felt really at ease with the cute decor. Catherine was really responsive and helpful. We enjoyed being able to do a bit of walking from the flat and being within easy walk of the pub. Great value for money, would recommend to anyone in the area

We had a lovely four night stay and the place was great for five of us. Accommodation is very comfortable and well appointed. Great location for walks around Damflask Reservoir and the river valley and not far into Sheffield. The pub next door was also great, with good food and drink options and very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
