Vacation rentals in Blöndulón

We had a magical couple of days at the hidden cottage. We came up to the north hoping to do some skiing with the kids. We had a beautiful drive up from Reykjavík and drove into a valley creeping into spring. We woke the next morning to a thick blanket of snow! It meant it was tricky to leave the cottage with our vehicle but the kids enjoyed a day in the snow and a bit of a hike up the valley. The cottage was clean, comfy and warm with beautiful views and we had everything we needed. The hot tub was fun. When we had to leave early the next day and were worried about the roads, Lea was extremely helpful. After a bit of snow shovelling we got on our way. The 4x4 we hired managed the main road into town no problem. We enjoyed looking around Siglufjordur on the way in and went via Akuyreyri on the way home where the kids had a fun swim and we managed to get on the slopes in the afternoon. We rented ski equipment on site. Wish we had had a couple more days to explore the towns a bit more!

The house was beautiful and the views are to die for. Would absolutely stay here again! They were very responsive to all questions we had and even showed our son the horses to pet!

An incredibly spacious, warm and cozy house. Hot tub was also fantastic. Everything was available, we received a quick response to questions. Near the cottage, you can eat wonderfully simple. Because the key can be picked up at the reception, you can be flexible with your time. Top spot all golden circle activities very close.

This is the perfect place to seek calmness and nature. Very friendly hosts, a well equipped guest house and a stunning view. You even see the glaciers and river, mountains, much of green and geese and other birds on the meadows. And of course the lovely horses :) Plus, Golden Circle is just around the corner. We stayed for a week and it was a perfect escape to calm down and enjoy nature.

We really enjoyed our stay at Stefania’s place . It was clean, good sized rooms.The kitchen had everything you need . There was a hot tub that we enjoyed as well . The view from the living room was fantastic . Location is very good, close to the town . Thank you

We had a welcome break here during our intense Icelandic trip. Sitting by the fire and watching the waves. Nothing else was needed for us. We enjoyed the peace and scenery very much. Zuleyma showed us the sheep and was very friendly and lovable. This place is an absolute recommendation. Suitable for couples, families and groups.

Very nice and tidy accomodation, excellent to make daytrips to Myvatn or Husavik. Bathroom is a bit small. The family helped us with the hot pot that was quite nice.

The location is great if you want to have an experience in iceland away from Reykjavik but still close to fun tourist attractions. Husafell has plenty to offer while the home itself is spaced nicely away from other houses in this small neighborhood within this little village. The house itself is magnificent. Heated floor makes the house so warm and welcoming. The beds are very comfortable and all the amenities are just over the top nice and high qaulity. I've stayed at AirBnBs that were much more expensive and had uncomfortable beds and skimped on every amenity, this was a very welcome surprise compared to those experiences. My favorite was the hot tub which actually used the natural hot water from the ground rather than a heating mechanism... so essentially you are getting your very own hot springs experience included with this rental! The sauna was also a favortite among a number in our party. Would lvoe to come back and spoend more time here!
