Very nice and cozy family cottage near lake Thingvallir. Small kitchen, but great outdoor gas bbq. Friendly and communicative host. We definitely would stay here again on a next visit.

If you are looking to stay near the National Park and enjoy a private, incredibly quite relaxing trip, this is the most amazing choice. For us this home was the perfect space, incredible design, stunning views with impeccable lighting. We needed to rest and relax while exploring the vast landscape of Iceland and this was beyond perfect. We will absolutely be back.

A really lovely, homely place to stay. Very convenient for the Golden Circle yet tucked away in a lovely peaceful location. Fantastic to sit in the hot tub at the end of a busy day.

Our stay at Larus’ accommodation was magical. Such a beautiful and restful setting, we felt relaxed instantaneously. The space was spotless with everything considered. The hot tubs and sauna were wonderful luxuries with the verandas thoughtfully sheltered from the breeze and the kayak’s in the lake which our boys enjoyed. The communication from start to when we left was proactive and clear with Kamil kindly meeting us at the cottages to guide us to the house and show us around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

Helga is a fantastic host! The property was great and was perfect for the reason we went to Iceland - Aurora Borealis !!! The northern lights were so great and we enjoyed them right from the deck of the cabin. Walking around the entire home while taking photos was perfect. The hot tub is excellent and the kitchen had everything we needed. We were greeted with a tasty cake and enjoyed the kitchen daily. Great hot water and shower. Slept so well in the comfy beds and linen. I can’t say enough about this property. Already trying to figure out when we are visiting again. Absolutely the best trip we could have had. The location is perfect for so many different sites inThe Golden Circle and the Geyser area!! Waterfalls were beautiful and within driving distance. A geothermal spa is just moments away. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Wir waren eine Woche in dem schönen Haus und es hat uns richtig gut gefallen. Das Haus war warm und abends haben wir den Hot Tub genossen. Ich kann dieses Haus jedem empfehlen. Ein super Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen. Einkaufen sollte man jedoch auf dem Weg dorthin. Größere Läden gibt es vor Ort nicht.

This house was perfect. The hostesses met us when we arrived, gave us instructions on things they wanted us to make sure we knew (for safety and such due to the temperatures), and spent around 2 hours giving us a tour and history of the house. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed and they were so thoughtful with all of their recommendations for activities with our children. We 100% recommend this house to others and we will be coming back in the future!

The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything needed. Shower Soap and shampoo were not offered. The living room area had 2 beds instead of a sitting area, however the kitchen table and chairs were fine to sit at.

Wonderful place to stay, particularly if you are interested in going to the Fontana baths. Less than a 5 minute walk so great to get back 'home' after a long day of driving then walk over to the baths to relax. Place was very comfortable, clean, well appointed and the host is very responsive. Highly recommend!

Very peaceful and homely cabin in beautiful surroundings. Svanna is very helpful and the cabin is well kept and cosy. Rural location - we were lucky enough to catch the northern lights 4 nights in a row! Would happily stay again, thank you ☺️

Stunning location, so peaceful, had everything you needed, very responsive host. Great location for the National Park and snorkelling at Silfra, just 20 minutes drive. Stunning sunset our first night and incredibly comfortable bed. Highly recommend the cottage and host

Superbe logement, avec une panorama superbe sur un lac et les montagnes enneigées. L'endroit n'est pas facile à trouver (nous avons du nous faire aider par des locaux à notre arrivée) mais une fois sur place, l'endroit est idyllique. La maison est propre et bien équipée, conforme à l'annonce. L'hôte est toujours très réactive par message pour répondre à nos questions. En bref, c'est l'endroit idéal pour passer un séjour reposant en Islande, tout en restant à proximité de la capitale et des lieux touristiques majeurs du cercle d'or.

Excellent maison pour un séjour en Islande. Très bien placée près de nombreux sites sympas. Parfaitement équipée, très propre. Mention spéciale pour la sauna avec une fenêtre sur la nature et aussi pour les lits d’ailleurs qui sont très confortables. Je vous recommande cette maison sans aucune hésitation.

Totale Ruhe! Wer die Abgeschiedenheit braucht, ist hier Goldrichtig. Eine bombastisch gut ausgestattete Hütte mit Whirlpool am See - Tramhaft. Gute Betten, gemütliches Sofa, toller Whirlpool, Terrasse mit direktem Blick auf den See und die magischen Polarlichter und eine supergut ausgestatette Küche machen das Haus zu einem perfektwn Erlebnisort. ein paar Kleinigkeiten gabs es trotzdem: In der Küche fehlten ein Nudelsieb und ein Dosenöffner (Jetzt fehlt nur noch das Nudelsieb) ;) Der Weg zur Hütte ist die letzten 8min eine holprige Schotterstrecke, die aber gut befahrbar ist. und der Weg von der Strasse zum Haus runter wär mit einer Treppe netter. es ost doch recht schräg und mit Laub und Schnee dann auch schmerzhaft rutschig. ;) Alles in Allem würden wir das Haus jederzeit wieder buchen. Volle Empfehlung
