Family-friendly vacation rentals in Blanco County

Good location in proximity to Dripping Springs. We went to the farmer's market on Wed. and it was easy to hop over and back to the casita. We stayed in the middle of the week and happened to get the pool and hot tub almost entirely to ourselves. The owner and staff really put a lot of work into the flowers and plants around the pool since the photos were taken and it really showed. We loved our stay and we have already talked about coming back with some family/friends.

Renee’s home was absolutely beautiful! We do a yearly post Christmas weekend getaway and this was perfect for my family and in laws. Living areas felt right at home, the bedrooms were very comfortable and everything we needed was pretty much well thought of. The pool, hot tub, and fire pits were big hits in our family and everyone was extremely pleased. We even got to see reindeer in the early morning. I would absolutely recommend Renee’s home for a perfect getaway! Thank you so much!

Wonderful area! The Casitas are extremely well thought out. We went for a getaway and got more than we expected! It had a cute, little hiking trail which our dog loved. Beautiful views. Our Casita was spacious and well kept. The pool and hot tub was a nice added touch. Will definitely plan on going back.

Bridle Ridge Ranch was a great place for my family to chill and relax. Everything was provided, from plenty of blankets and towels, to home basics like paper towels and toilet paper. The kitchen is extremely well stocked. Spices and cooking basics like cooking oil and aluminum foil were also provided. The master bedroom was enormous, with plenty of room for adults and kids. The other 4 bedrooms were just the right size and setup well for guests. The outdoor area of the house is great. Plenty of room for the kids to run around. The lights on the house are nice at night. We enjoyed feeding the horses every day and also enjoyed the hot tub at night even thought it was cold outside. The house provides thick robes in the closets that help keep you warm. Plenty of chairs on the porch area and the views are amazing. The pool heater system was not working at the time, but we still took a cold dip in there. The pool setup looks nice at night with the lights. Overall, it was awesome experience!

Beautiful property. Very private. Very quiet. The only thing missing was wildlife. We were there 3 nights and never saw so much as a squirrel. Very disappointed in that since 2 of the 4 of our group are photographers and we expected some great nature shots. The home was beautiful, clean and well appointed. Just wish we had seen something to photograph besides lovely scenery. Also, it is almost a mile from the main road to the house down a private drive which crosses a couple of low creeks. We were in a low slung Cadillac and the bottom of the car drug in several places.

We had a lovely stay with family and friends. The kitchen was extremely well equipped as was the rest of the cabin. Host was very responsive, flexible and accommodating to our requests. I would highly recommend this remote getaway. Many thanks!

Cynthia and Charles' home is absolutely stunning! We had a wonderful time with our family (7 adults + 1 infant +3 dogs). We are definitely booking again. Cynthia was kind enough to drop off a Play and Go crib for my 6-mo nephew. We enjoyed star gazing from the porch at night & enjoyed all the features their home offered.

Our stay at David and Patti's creekside home was absolutely delightful! The house itself was clean and very comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after exploring the beautiful Texas Hill Country One of the standout features of this location is its incredible proximity to numerous natural attractions. We loved being just a short drive from gems like Hamilton Pool, Westcave Preserve, and Pedernales Falls, making it easy to immerse ourselves in the stunning local scenery. Beyond the parks, the area also boasts a fantastic selection of breweries and wineries, and the great BBQ options were a definite plus David and Patti's communication was seamless, and they made us feel right at home. Patti's breakfast is an absolute must-try! It was truly delicious and a highlight of our morning We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this creekside gem and will definitely be back for another visit. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located base to explore the area

There are 2 houses on this property. I was staying 2 months, and about 10 days into my stay the hot water heater began leaking in the Plum Cottage. A replacement heater had to be ordered. I was offered the chance to move to the other (bigger) Stone House at no additional cost, either until the repair was made, or for the duration of my stay. I chose to remain at the bigger house for the duration. Not only was it an upgrade, but it kept me from having to move all my stuff yet again. That was a very kind offer !! Although this location is in the country and very peaceful, Wimberley is just a short drive for any needed supplies or to visit shops and restaurants. As I'd drive down the road this property is on, folks would wave when passing. I once encountered a deer in the yard as I was heading out. It moved a little farther away, but was still enjoying being on the property a little later when I returned. Nice to be in nature and able to share the same space. A pleasant stay !!

This is a wonderful ranch like get a way and it was just what we were looking to find. We are so tired of motels/hotels, crowded towns and streets. It is nice to just get out away from it all and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country. Birds, a deer, a turkey, and some wildflowers thrown in just added to the enjoyment . Resting on the patios in the evening looking at a dark sky full of stars was very relaxing. It is hard to describe the tranquility of the evenings we spent. It was an unexpected treat. So many sites close by to visit and see if you are inclined to do so. It was also nice that we were out away from it all and yet within a short distance of food, groceries and other amenities. Janet is the hostess with the Mostess. She was on top of everything! Super communications, super accommodations, and friends advice to help make our stay so enjoyable. OH, and sweet treats on our arrival that were very special! Thank you Janet!

Great spot for a quick getaway! House is tastefully designed and has everything you need for a pleasant time in the country. Ben and Liz are very nice and gracious hosts :)

Great place, great owners! Bathrooms were nice and kitchen was super helpful. Only thing was that the outlet we used was far from our site but it was no problem since we brought our own extension cords. Very close to Perdenales falls, and a beautiful property. Strict quiet hours which we were very thankful for! We had a great stay and would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about staying here for a bit!

We stayed here for a getaway to stargaze and view the total solar eclipse in April 2024. This cabin is part of Ranch 3232, which has RV spots, yurts, and tent camping. This is helpful to know for others who may be looking for a private or secluded getaway. The cabin was perfect for what we needed. It was clean, and we found the kitchen was great for cooking breakfast and coffee. The included dishes, silverware, and drinkware is perfect for two. The bathroom was clean, and the shower is adequate. The grill outside was perfect for burgers. There is a small table outside with two chairs, which made it great for a meal outside! Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and I would return to stay here any time! Thanks, Ken!

I stayed at John & Suzanne’s place for a couple of months with pets & had an amazing & comfortable time! It’s super peaceful with beautiful sunsets, starry skies & orchards that are great for walking - I walked them almost every day to get my steps in! The birds singing in the mornings made it feel simply magical. I have the Merlin Bird ID app & would regularly clock in 10-12 different bird species almost every morning! No issues with WiFi, neighbors, parking, or mail delivery. Pedernales Falls State Park is nearby, make sure to check it out & schedule a reservation ahead of time unless going after hours. Dripping Springs is the closest town for groceries (H‑E‑B) about 20min drive. Easy access to get to Austin, San Antonio, Fredericksburg, etc. John & Suzanne were friendly & great hosts - I’d definitely stay again :)

If you're looking to get away from crowds and have space to yourself, this is the place! Keep in mind that this location is NOT intended to be a luxury stay...it is rugged and set up similar to a hunting lodge. At the time of our stay, there were 2 sets of bunk beds, so for couples, there is either going to be a crowded bed, or you'll have to sleep separate. This wasn't an issue for us, as we knew what we were getting into to begin with, but something others should keep in mind when booking this location. It is comfortable, and on a ranch with lots of land, so staying here allows for exploration. For us, we'll definitely stay here again. Carl was super nice, and was more than willing to accommodate wherever necessary. We made a new friend by staying here!

Absolutely loved the location, the view from the pool was amazing!!! You truly have to go understand how great it really was. Check in and check out were extremely easy and straight forward 10/10 would recommend and will try to come back for sure!!

April and her husband were amazing host, they went above and beyond for us the whole time. They have a beautiful place and well priced. It was an awesome time and I couldn’t have asked for a better place or host for this trip to Dripping Springs. I highly recommend their beautiful place if you are in the area. If I could give more than 5 stars I would have.

This was such a beautiful home with plenty of space for our 3 baseball families! The weather was not in our favor so we weren’t able to use the pool but looks amazing and perfect for my not-so-quiet kids! The kids were SUPER excited to see cows roaming in the back yard! We will definitely book again if another tournament is close, hopefully in warmer weather!! Jennifer responded very quickly and was very helpful when we needed a slightly later check out! Thanks again and GO COOGS!!🐾❤️

We loved MP’s place! It was wonderful for our group of 3 families! The pool was so lovely, we adored the outdoor table, & the pickleball court was so much fun! We cooked every meal in the kitchen & enjoyed gathering around! I would go back. I will say when we first got there, we killed 3 scorpions & another crawled out of a bathroom sink the first morning. Of course this was very concerning! Mary Pat was very prompt in calling me & said they very rarely have that issue. We definitely wore shoes the whole time & checked all sinks, toilets, & showers. However, we still had a great time & I would go back!
