Vacation rentals in Black Bay

We had a great stay, being tucked away from the towns and resorts leaving us able to do our own thing is how we like to explore the world. We used the location code to find the place, hired a car, and found it with ease, although later we found an easier road to the villa that sat nav didn't pick the first time round. The villa was lovely and spacious, clean and had everything we needed and more. We also made friends with the resident cat. The PDF Anita sent was very helpful for outlining all we needed to know, including that the nearby beach is rocks and pebbles (although good for a morning dip) and the area is pretty hilly. Evelyn was a great help too and popped by a few times and chatted to us about life here on the island which we were pleased to hear about. Both Anita and Evelyn were very responsive to texts and emails. Highly recommend Zandolie House. Thanks again, Anita and Evelyn!

We looked for a small hideaway to stay for a few days while exploring St Lucia. And luckily, we found it! Sally’s place was probably the nicest AirBnB we ever stayed in. Such a cool house, with a beautiful terrace outside and a great layout inside. Bedroom upstairs was super comfortable, bathroom well thought out. It has to be mentioned that there is no real hot water. You could argue that it‘s not needed, as it is really hot here, but when it’s really hot, you are really hot and jumping under a cold shower takes all you got in that moment. The kitchen was well thought out, has all the appliances you need. There was cold beer and water in the fridge upon arrival, which shows where this is all going. You could stay in one of the luxury resorts, see a beach here and there, or you indulge yourself in the island and the beauty of the unknown and Sally‘s place … and I can certainly tell you, which one I would choose over again and again.

Being a solo traveler I always look for an Airbnb locations that feel safe and like home. This place felt like a home away from home, I rested majority of my trip and it was well needed. The host and team were so nice and accommodating to everything I needed! I will stay here again!

My husband and I booked Lumiere for our honeymoon and we couldn't have asked for anything better. The place was just as described and pictured, if not better! The entire property is beautiful and so unique with a million-dollar view. And that shower! We cooked in the outdoor kitchen for most meals which functioned great and ate mangos and coconuts from the property daily! Coal Pot is a delicious and beautiful restaurant nearby to check out as well. Every night we played games in the tent or watched movies on the projector, then fell asleep to the sounds of nature. Chad was extremely responsive and helpful with local recommendations. Per his recommendation, we used Brad and Anthony with Simple Transfers for our transportation in the area and they were lovely. We also booked a private boat island tour with Captain Del as recommended which was the highlight of our trip. I could not recommend Lumiere more for a couple who is looking for peaceful, private, stunning and one-of-a-kind trip!

Maria was an authentic, beautiful host. She met us outside with a cold, fragranced towel. She called in some favors with friends to get us in for dinner after hours and even came with us to make sure we got there ok. This home has historical charm and is immaculate. Maria thought of everything we would need, and even had her friend make and deliver fresh bread to us in the morning. She offered to give us a guided hike during our stay. You can tell she loves her home and wants her guests to feel welcome. The home was comfortable and beautiful and a perfect location. Great stay here. Very easy check in & they arranged for a pickup at the airport & back to the airport- that was a great help! Nylar was very helpful & just across the street. The apartment is a nice size, as described in the listing. Note there is no air in the kitchen , living room & bathroom but there is in the bedrooms so that was nice (this is noted in the description online). There are ceiling fans in all areas & you get a nice breeze. Right on the water- there is a nice beach area (make sure you bring your own beach/pool towels). The attached patio was nice to sit out on and enjoy the view. The pool up on the rooftop is perfect to dip in & cool off and you can dip in & look at the sea at the same time. There are several restaurants in walking distance & stores to get water/drinks &snacks. They take USD however it is preferred to bring local dollars- most do not take CC and the banks do not accept any torn or badly wrinkled USD.

Khandi and her family were lovely hosts who really took care of us during our entire stay. She has really paid attention to every detail of the house and thought of any and all needs anyone could need during their stay. She is highly responsive and even set up rentals with Shane Boy rentals who was also great to work with ! Thanks Khandi!

I really enjoyed my stay here. I felt very safe. The breeze was amazing. Beautiful views and amazing breezes even in May/June. Very clean and well stocked. Oma emailed and called before and during our time there to make sure we had everything. We sis use the cook, Virginia and it was nice to have a meal prepared when we needed it. The dood was very good. There was some construction next door, a new house is being built in the neighborhood and sometimes there was noise. They start around 8 am and end around 4 or 5 during the weekdays. I am an early morning person so it did not bother me. If you like to sleep late, the construction noise could be an issue. The house has everything you will need. Bring laundry detergent if you want to wash your clothes. I also recommend renting a car unless you want to call for a ride for everything. The closest grocery store is about ten minutes away. We still used a driver but it was nice to be able to go get groceries or drive at leisure
