The Froidefontaine Yurt

Situated in a quiet area in an old orchard, where sheep regularly graze (bring appropriate footwear in case of wet weather), the Yurt welcomes you with two single beds that can be converted into a double bed, 2 armchairs and a bench, a wood-burning stove and a space to eat. In the annex, connected to the Yurt by a wooden terrace, you will find the kitchen and sanitary area. The kitchen has a gas stove (2 burners) and cooking equipment, coffee maker, kettle and a 30L minibar are at your disposal. The shower is spring water and the hot water is produced by a small electric boiler.

Change of scenery guaranteed in an authentic Mongolian yurt with a colorful and cozy atmosphere. It is equipped with 2 twin beds made on arrival. (+ cabinets and oil heating). In the adjacent cabin, there is a kitchen equipped with dining room, a living room with sofa bed, as well as a bathroom (sink, shower and dry toilet). Digital detox place without TV or WiFi. Sleeping a night on the meadow of the donkeys is a unique experience. WONDERFUL !! Staying at the Balkend Hoeve means that you leave out the unnecessary luxury. No TV and no WIFI Don't worry about this, you get a lot of it instead. You take a step into the slightly more primitive life for a while. Beautiful yurt in nature!

The yurt is placed on the spacious campsite Villatoile, surrounded by nature. The river Lesse flows through the valley, which only has one small road with almost no traffic. The valley is surrounded by rock, which is the reason I live there in summer time and work there as climbing instructor. On the beautiful campsite you can use the amenities, like showers and toilets. The price includes camping fees!

Our yurt is nestled at the back of our 3000 m2 wild garden. It can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children and has a kitchen area, a dining area, a bathroom area (bathtub and dry toilet), a living area that becomes a sleeping area, a private garden area with barbecue and garden furniture. It is heated by a pellet stove. Cable internet, parking space. Wifi No service is offered (no breakfast or sheets).

Our hand-made forest yurt sits in a secluded old growth forest on a private estate near medieval Bruges. The yurt is 5,5 meters (18 feet) in diameter. It sleeps 4 people comfortably, with a double bed and a double pull-out couch (but can just fit up to 5 people with an extra mattress provided). There's a wood stove & kitchenette inside. Linen, towels and organic soap/shampoo are provided.
