The Beara Bus....with Awesome Views

The Beara Bus is a unique living space situated on the coastline with stunning views across the Atlantic to the Sheeps Head and Mizen Head Peninsulas and Bere Island. The entrance to the harbour of Castletownbere ( Irelands second largest fishing port) can be seen with the daily coming and goings of the fishing fleet. In the waters below the Bus basking shark, minke whale and dolphins are frequent visitors. The sun rising up over Sheeps Head Peninsula can make for an unforgettable breakfast !

It is a bright, airy and relaxing space, perfect for a holiday. It is a private house that overlooks the magical miskish mountain from the front of the house. We are situated on the Beara Peninsula, just up the road from Helen's Bar in Kilmackilogue. Our Shepherds Hut called The Bothy, overlooks the sea, and is three minutes walk to the beach. Enjoy nature at its best with views of Kenmare Bay and its surrounding mountains. It is a hikers paradise, lying just off 'The Beara Way' . Cyclists will also be in their element with The Healy Pass a few kilometres away. Kenmare is half an hour away with wonderful shops and restaurants.

The Llama Lodge is a free standing stone building behind our farmhouse in a rural location (16km from Kenmare) surrounded by our herd of friendly, free-roaming alpacas & llamas, and stunning views of Kenmare Bay. There is a king-size bed, a small seating area, an en-suite bathroom, and a seating area with a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, cutlery & plates. Cereal, milk, porridge, orange juice, snack bars & biscuits are provided in the room, and tea & coffee. AGE 12+

Each pod has a luxury double bed, dining area and mini kitchen unit, containing a mini fridge and microwave. No cooker. The pods are fully en-suite. The have lots of little special touches to make your experience alot more comfortable. We can only accommodate 2 x adults in each pods, not suitable for families. We do have a strict no animals allowed policy, as we have our own pets and livestock to worry about on-site.
