Bungalow-Twin Bed-Family Batcave Homestay

Staying with Esaro and his family was the highlight of our entire trip in Cambodia! ❤️ It was so great to get a glimpse into authentic Cambodian life and we loved spending time with the family (especially playing with all the lovely kids!) as well as other guests staying at the homestay. In addition to the complimentary breakfast, we chose to eat lunch and dinner at the homestay and the delicious home-cooked meals were some of the best food we had during our whole trip (we're still dreaming of the fried rice! 😍) There's so much to do in the surrounding area and Esaro arranged great activities for us everyday, taking us on some tours himself and also arranging tours with a private tour guide, Mr Lychee. Both Esaro and Mr Lychee are incredibly knowledgeable and we learned so much from them. We'd thoroughly recommend this airbnb and we will hopefully return ourselves in the future. Thank you Esaro and family!

I had a nice stay and I was definitely immersed in the Khmer culture. it was a bit further from downtown than I expected but having the bike was very nice. I explored a lot of areas and got to see a lot of local culture. Good or bad, I experienced the chimes of the temple for a funeral, wish started at 6:00 in the morning and ended around 7:00 at night. LOL. I didn't see much of Sovath's parents but they seem very nice. just a note that his address doesn't really show up on with grab. But there is a coffee shop really close. I didn't have a problem being dropped off or picked up.

We had a good time at this property. It’s located in a quiet area south of Battambang, and overlooking the river. It’s not that far away from the centre, and you can use free bikes or rent a motorbike from the owner very easily. The houses have a big outdoor terrace with pristine view of the nature and the river there. The owner even had build his own bamboo boat, and we were allowed to use it. That was such a cool experience!! Really recommend doing that. Just make sure to bring a good insect repellent with you. Because there’s a lot of little creatures in the area.
