Basecamp in the White mountains

This small cabin has recently been re-built with new pine paneled walls and ceiling, bunk beds, carpeting, electricity, a new Eco-outhouse!, solar shower and It is located at the edge of a field about 100 yards from our home. It is a perfect base camp for hikers 12 miles south of Franconia notch trail heads and Appalachian Trail crossing. The cabin is most often used by hikers who want a base camp near many of the most popular hiking trails near Franconia Notch. It is a peaceful and quiet place.

Guest space is the entire first floor of 47' round house with six foot picture windows which allow a 180 degree views on a private half mile on the Connecticut River. Super secluded, quiet lakeside cape, Sugar Hill Area. A true winter wonderland in the winter months, with access to Cannon Mountain, Loon and Bretton Woods. Quirky house originally built in 1810 and added onto in the late 1800s. This is a true 4 season destination with skiing, hiking, swimming, and shopping / dining in Littleton which was voted one of the best small towns in America. Franconia Notch sights and activities are 20 minutes away. Snowmobile and hiking trails on my property.

This private studio space is located on our walkout basement level. You will have your own entry with a parking spot just outside the door or in our easy access carport. We are a 15 minute walk to many of the popular businesses on Main Street and there is easy access to I93 for all the outdoor activities in the White Mountain region. We enjoy welcoming travelers to our town and are happy to field any questions you may have. Otherwise, we are very respectful of our guests' privacy.

This sweet little house is great for those who want to get away from it all. It's like camping but with many more creature comforts. Hot and cold running water and a fantastic hot outdoor shower! The house does not come with sheets and towels but if you need that, please let me know and I’ll make that happen for a small fee ($15)! Great for kids!
