Beachfront vacation rentals in Basse-Terre

We had a lovely stay. The house is large, the rooms spacious and the view from the terrace of the exceptional sea. We highly recommend it.

Apart from the grumpy and embittered, for others, this place is a real little paradise. A peaceful oasis furnished with great taste and originality. Go there without so much as a second thought, the host is charming, not stingy with advice and good tips. A place that I recommend as a very regular traveler and experienced host.

We had a great time with many companions (the cat who was waiting for us on the terrace, the hens and chicks, etc.) in the middle of a nice and quiet wooded park. The nearby restaurant and tapas bar where you can enjoy the evening sea breeze is a plus. Recommended.

We were amazed by the breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. The estate is superb, very well decorated and surrounded by lush vegetation, offering a peaceful and exotic atmosphere. The small jacuzzi pool is a real plus, ideal for relaxing. The hosting was exceptional: Mariette welcomed us with incredible kindness and had even prepared a delicious Colombo chicken – a surprise that touched us and put us directly into the local atmosphere. Regarding the accommodation, it is spacious and pleasant. The bed is equipped with mosquito nets. On the other hand, there are a few things to improve: the air conditioning only works from 8 p.m. The bathroom deserves a renovation and, unfortunately, the fridge was not clean and a little sticky when we arrived. Despite these small inconveniences, we had a nice stay and especially remember the beauty of the place and the warm welcome. With a few upgrades, it would be a perfect place!

We spent two and a half months and it was a really great vacation. The place is in a good location and the accommodation is good. I'd definitely go back.

We spent 4 absolutely amazing days, We didn't want to leave, the house and the view are perfect! We'll be happy to go back in September! The contact with Virginia was very nice, she is very attentive to her tenants. And as a bonus, we were lucky enough to see a whale right from the sofa! We recommend eyes a second thought!

Absolutely great location. 5 steps from the property and you were standing on the water. Enough shade. Walk to the village in 10-15 minutes. The amenities were very good. Only a steep spiral staircase up Otherwise everything is perfect. The on-site support was perfect

I was totally flabbergasted by the amazing views, the superbly maintained and tasteful property and the general French Caribbean “vibe” We totally enjoyed our stay here and it was a pity we could not book it for longer. We will definitely try to get back as soon as we can!!

We had a pleasant stay in the accommodation which was even better than in the photos! The terrace is great for eating out and the bedroom is very comfortable. Laurence gave us many tips and recommendations for things to do on the lower ground, which was greatly appreciated. The accommodation is well located, allowing quick access to Deshaies/Bouillante/Route de la Traversée. I recommend it!!

Great place, very helpful and responsive host. Has recommendations for anything you need on the island. Marielle was very helpful, our 2nd flight was delayed around 4hrs so she made the time to go and get us some shopping as we wouldn’t arrive at her place until around 10pm, so to have some supper and a glass of wine was most welcome Great space. Bedrooms lovely and clean big comfortable bed & good air con. Tv available but I didn’t use it. Good showers and plenty of hot & cold water. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need to prep and cook all meals. Including Weber bbq and dishwasher. Didn’t realise how much I needed a dishwasher on holiday until I had one. Good size pool with nice quality sun loungers and outdoor seating. It’s on an island obviously there’s small boats going by but nothing noisy or unpleasant. It’s fun to watch other people’s techniques going to & fro on the island. Nothing negative I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is beautiful. The accommodation is comfortable and well-equipped. The hosts are really friendly. We felt comfortable and welcome with our two children aged 11 and 13. Access by car is easy. There's a grocery store nearby. It's walking distance to a small beach to go snorkeling and see turtles as well as beautiful fish and corals. We recommend the place and would return without hesitation.

We only booked 4 days but honestly I regret it because I would have stayed much longer. The hut was very pleasant place to stay in a green setting with magnificent views...✨⭐ the hummingbirds had breakfast with us. Thank you Sulyanise for this little enchanted break.

We did not see Stéphanie but were hosted very well by her husband. Check-in and check-out instructions were very clear (excellent video guidance). The bungalow was as described, we quickly felt at home, with an exotic touch! The bakery 5 minutes' walk, the beach 10 minutes' walk, the shops 10 minutes' drive were real pluses. A beautiful place for those who want to stay north of Basse-Terre.

Honestly, it was the most beautiful AirBnb we've rented across all destinations. Very clean and all amenities! The welcome basket was much appreciated! In short, a memorable stay! We really recommend it!

Wish we could have stayed longer! Perfect location on the island for access to restaurants by foot in the evening. We are cat people, so having the two around was awesome and relaxing. Recommend having a golf cart or scooter to get up the hill to the place as well as all the others throughout the island. Mosquitoes exist on the island; however there were many measures provided to deter them, so they were manageable. We loved the spot and wish to return!

The house is very nice, clean and matches the photos well. We enjoyed the air conditioning, mosquito nets and outdoor kitchen where we had all our meals. Very good stay at Le Charmantillais! Responsive and accommodating host. The accommodation is very well equipped, the fan is more than enough. It is also very well located in Basse-Terre. The environment is nice and the views are stunning!

A wonderful stay at Katy's. She is so welcoming, we have never had so much fun meeting and staying with someone in the 10+ years we have been renting Airbnbs. It's amazing, just like Guadeloupe. What a pleasure to discover and rediscover this island and all its treasures. Katy has great tips. Everything was perfect, you feel very good in the accommodation and the outside is ideal. The garden and pool, a treat for both kids and adults. We recommend staying here 1000%.

Pretty apartment with a super view and a perfect location. The best beaches of Guadeloupe nearby. Very clean as well. Checking in was easy and very friendly.. There are other apartments above and just next to this one so you do hear the neighbours at times.
