We rented a room at the Turtle lodge. Very comfortable bed, aircon worked well, great shower, and plenty of nice places to sit around the lodge. We came for a few days of relaxation which was perfect. The staff are all incredibly nice and friendly. We visited the beach every day, the closest beach is 5 minutes walk away but is slightly challenging to swim in. You are often however the only people on the beach which is nice. Green Bay can be visited by renting a scooter from the lodge ($10 per day), which is nicer and calmer to swim. Plus it has a waterfall on the beach. This beach is a lot busier, and is also in the national park which we needed to pay $20 per person to enter. So there are upsides and downsides to each beach :) We didn’t do the sea turtle tour, for us it was a bit too pricey $160pp per night. Overall the stay at the lodge was great, as was the restaurant, and Poer Hadi was a friendly and helpful host.

We had a truly wonderful time at Nina’s Homestay. The place is beautiful and very private and clean. Every morning we got the most yummy breakfast ( veggie & non veggie options ) and the little kitchen has all the necessities and is always clean. Nina is very easy to contact and we felt well taken care of. We would 100% recommend staying here. ( we even stayed 1 night longer than planned because we liked it so much ). So big thank you to Nina and Wayan Su!

We really enjoyed staying at Putu's place. It is located in a local district through which we divide nice impressions during our first days in Bali. Once on site, the contact ran smoothly via WA. Putu helped us to arrange a snorkeling tour and took us on mangrove tour. He is incredibly hospitable. We loved staying there, both in the room and in the well-maintained garden.

More than happy with accommodation. It’s basic and you get what you pay for. Clean and tidy and aircon works well. It’s in the middle of a small Pearl farm, fishing boats and diving school . So there is local people around getting on with their day. At sunset the kids were swimming and fishing. I quite enjoyed seeing this and they were very friendly. I walked to the local Restaurant less than a km away and had a very basic but tasty meal. Staff were very nice and we chatted a lot. I went for my run early in the morning but unfortunately no trails so I ran on the road which is always a lot of traffic and Scooters. I also swam at the end of the wooden Jetty . Overall i would recommend for a short stay just too experience the local life.
