Vacation rentals with a pool in Baião

Marvelous place: beautiful and comfortable house overlooking the Douro valley ... and the most beautiful pool we ever had (and we had many over the years). Garden full of orange and lemon trees with an outside kitchen and perfect babecue. Great host, great place. We hope to come back one day.

The house is large, comfortable, well equipped, has a beautiful garden and a small pool but the mountain around is also very beautiful and well inhabited because it is well maintained. Our host gave us all the useful information with photos and GPS coordinates. Unfortunately, we haven't visited everything. We will probably come back for the beauty of the place and the souls.

Wonderful villa with potential to host 10 people! We stayed four nights to tour vineyards and have traveled in similar areas before around southern europe, so knew what to expect in terms of rurality and local amenities (restaurants, shops, grocery, etc). Very clean, they helped get us a fab taxi driver (shout out Markos and crew!!) and were pretty responsive. Would note for bug groups, families or long stays that there is no easy way to do even small amounts of laundry. When we asked about fresh towels (were given four for three people, both shower and pool use), were told it would cost €25 but that there’s no cleaning fee in the stay. Not a big deal, just important to know for a rural stay.

Very calm location with beautiful vistas. Place was well organized and clean and there was nothing essential missing. Nice small details with the bath robes and towels using the branding of the location.

Such a relaxing and beautiful spot. We have a lovely slow day at the cabin, making the most of the food the trees and vines had to offer. Fabulous!

Our stay at Casa Solar do Douro was perfect! As soon as you enter the driveway, you are surrounded by beautiful fruit trees. The check-in process was smooth with a walkthrough by your host explaining every room. The house was spotless and has everything you need. Pots & pans, basic cooking spices/oils, pod coffee pot and drip coffee pot, juicer, and dishwasher completes the kitchen. All bedrooms have a smart tv, making relaxing time easy with Netflix, etc. Bedside lamps include usb chargers and the beds are extremely comfortable with layered bedding. All bathrooms have towels for shower and pool, hand soap, and toilet paper. Washing machine upstairs, and clothes hanger outside make laundry easy. The pool is absolutely amazing, not heated, but if you go in the summer is the perfect refreshing temperature. Lots of seating options outside, including 2 large umbrellas. The family restaurant downstairs has delicious food and awesome service. Highly recommend the octopus! 10/10 vacation!

Proximity to the Douro River with views up and down the valley and outdoor spaces including the wonderful swimming pool with great views and barbecue area made for a very relaxing holiday. There is no Aircon but thick granite walls and open shutters allow the natural breeze to keep the house cool even when it's 35C plus outside. I think I left a board game called Genius Square behind and wish it to remain there. have a good if you stay.

To everyone who’s thinking of renting this house; if you’re having doubts, this is the sign to go for it. I’m speaking on behalf of my family and myself. We were a group of 8 who had the lovely opportunity to spend New Year’s Eve in this beautiful space. To start with, pictures don’t do justice to the gem you find when you pass through the entrance door. The house seems like it blends or comes out of the mountain itself. Maintaining original external features of what it seemed an old house that was carefully blended into the newer structure of the main house. When you enter you have the feeling of being at home and from any of the panoramic windows to the west side of the house you get the breathtaking views of the Douro river They’ve thought of all details and making it a perfectly functional house to not have to leave for as long as you plan to stay there. Having the breakfast service is also another extra service we were really happy to have thank you for the lovely experience.
