Vacation rentals in Avonport

My family had a great stay here. Alan’s place is exactly as described and even better! All amenities are great, the place is very cozy and clean. They even had a Christmas tree set up which was a great touch! We did a trip into Chester and Bayswater beach which ware both nearby. Would 100% recommend to those looking and would go back in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful time at Cheryl’s property. She was very accommodating with check in and check out times- which we really appreciated! This property was very clean, and we felt very comfortable! It has a beautiful view, and we felt far enough away from being in the city, while being only a 20 minute drive away! Would highly suggest this property, and Cheryl as a host!

As always so perfect. The furnishings were excellent quality. Beds were comfortable. The wood fired salt water hot tub is so incredible. The hosts are friendly and helpful.

Blueberry oasis is truly a wonderful spot for a get away that is close to nearby beaches, shopping and Halifax. The cottage (house) has a very logical layout with room to relax and share time with family and friends. We only rent in the winter and call it our weekend winter house. Therefore we don’t get to use the lake and boating facilities. However, the games room with pool table and dart board makes up for that. We still use the outside firepit and hot tub. Lots of firewood for both firepit and indoor wood stove for our comforts without worrying about running out of supply. I highly recommend this rental.

This spot is in a beautiful, peaceful location. We wanted just to relax and be by the ocean. We were able to do both and the trip to town was just minutes by car. The home was very clean and well stocked with dishes, etc. When we had an issue with the internet the host responded immediately. The back deck was such a gem( I wish the weather had cooperated more) and the hot tub lets you look out over the water as you soak. I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend a visit here. I certainly hope to return myself in the near future.

As someone who grew up in the Valley, I’m always on the hunt for those magical little getaways that feel like home—but better. We found just that in this Scots Bay getaway! It checked every single box for our family: peaceful vibes, breathtaking ocean views, a bubbling hot tub and easy-peasy access to Cape Split—perfect for hiking with our adventurous 5-year-old and our equally energetic pup. The place was spotless, super cozy, and our hosts were absolute rock stars when it came to communication. You can tell they’ve put a lot of heart into creating a welcoming space. Only tiny suggestions from a seasoned weekender: a few board games would be a lovely touch for rainy evenings, and an air fryer would be the cherry on top (but we usually BYO for longer stays anyway🤣). The hot tub? Glorious. A pergola over it would make it even more perfect for stormy soaks or cozy winter dips. All in all, we loved every moment and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Loves our stay at Vista! The view was gorgeous, cabin was very clean and cozy, and location was central and easy to walk to town! We will definitely be back! Nick was very responsive and friendly!

Beautiful cottage right on the water. We enjoyed sunsets and wildlife right from the hot tub and the sunroom. The house is very well kept, the kitchen has everything you need, the fridge is well stoked and the living quarters are very comfortable. The house is at a dead end of a road with very little traffic and very private. We really enjoyed our time there. What a gem of a place! We will definitely come back!

Most of what I'm saying is echoing what other Guests have said - it's all still true for 2024: Morry is great to work with, cottage is clean and well-equipped,  the views here are wonderful, beds are comfy and the layout worked well for us with the two main floor bedrooms on opposite sides.  The kitchen is a good size and the two full bathrooms are like new. There's a great hike trailhead a stone's throw away and, if you haven't already, you will fall in love with Prospect, NS!!
