was a great first contact with the Alentejo. The family loved it. Dona Antônia is super competent and super friendly. The cottage made me go back to childhood. it has convenience and is enough for those who want a country vacation. it was 5 stars the Mariana tbm always responsive if necessary. we suggest in the future a light that points the pool at night with value sometimes stays up late in the pool. We had an amazing stay at Monte do Poejo! Truly a weekend to remember! The place looks even better than the pictures, everything is thought-out for a comfortable stay. You’ll never get bored there as the quinta has everything, from a guitar and a synthesizer to a swimming pool and a pool table :) But in all seriousness, it has all the amenities you can possibly need for a weekend getaway. Thanks Maria for being an amazing host and helping us in any way she could!

Great place to live. Super Complete and Organized Accommodation

The house was very clean and had lots of space. Some of the beds were very firm so we did have to trade rooms with one of our kids for a softer mattress. Overall a great house with plenty to explore in the area. Went to the local cheese shop and got great sight seeing recommendations from the worker. The Marble Museum had cool sculptures and info about the local areas history in extracting marble. The pool is not heated and was a little chilly in late September, but the kids still had fun.

Definitely a great fit for quiet days and away from the hustle and bustle. The home was very well equipped and taken care of. We really want to come back in the summer!

We loved the stay. It is possible to have peace and fun at the same time through contact with nature, whether through the beautiful landscape or even the dam. André is extremely attentive and Montezinho has everything a guest needs to enjoy their stay. All the items in the house are extremely tasteful, which allowed us to feel at home.

The little house is lovely - warm and homely. It is well furnished with a good hot shower and good water pressure. The beds are comfortable and there are lots of extra blankets (we came in the cold season). Parking is right outside the door and the back garden has a covered area as well as a direct sun area- chairs table and sun beds. There is a small laundry, lines and pegs. We would thoroughly recommend.

Wonderful experience! José was extremely communicative and helped us plan our weekend with a group of 8 in town for a wedding. With so many logistics, it was a lot to balance and he was so proactive and quickly responded with ideas and help. The view out by the pool is breathtaking. We enjoyed our stay and wish to come back soon. I highly recommend this beautiful home!
