A very lovely and modern place to stay. While compact, it had everything we needed and more! A BBQ and Hot tub were great! The hosts anticipated EVERYTHING and left snacks, USB converters, lint removers and much more for us. The AC and hot tub were on and waiting for us when we arrived. The bed was awesome. Large and very comfy. A great place to stay, needing more than 1 night to enjoy !

Beautiful time with my parents in Halfway Cove! We were initially drawn to the private beach and little cove—both more beautiful than the photos suggested. We swam every day; it was surprisingly warm! Would have maybe loved more beach walking distance, but that's neither here nor there. The house itself was beautiful: an well-kept charming older house with lots of light and a lovely layout. My husband and I loved having our own "wing" downstairs whilst my parents were comfortably situated on the top floor. It was pristinely kept: super clean, comfortable and with all the amenities to cook at-home meals. We went to the local Independent (15 min drive) and made most meals at home on the barbecue or in the kitchen together. Gary was a lovely host. Very kind and helpful as we sought out local recommendations. And an exceptional jam-maker too. Would definitely come back!

Applecross has lovely views from a beautiful deck - the photos don’t lie! The whole house felt new and clean. Beds were comfortable, towels and linens were great, laundry and bathroom facilities were very good. The two downstairs bedrooms with queen beds were super quiet. The main bedroom has both a king and a double bed. It’s a nice room with a good ensuite, although it would benefit from sturdy blinds or curtains (the gorgeous view also brings a lot of early morning light) and a moveable screen or room divider to help with privacy if that’s wanted by people sharing the room. The barbecue is excellent and the kitchen had the basics. The hosts’ instructions for check in and check out were clear and easy to follow. My family and I would happily stay here again. Thanks Ian and Jill!
