Thank you Veronique for a lovely stay in Authuile. The apartment was fantastic. Very comfortable and the best equipped place I’ve stayed in France including an excellent range of English books on the region. There was lots of care and attention down to a very kind selection of food and drinks. The location could not be better - less than 10 minutes drive to Albert, easy access to the different areas of the Somme battlefields, memorials and cemeteries- including directly by walking from the door. I walked up to Thiepval via small roads/tracks and also a great circuit up the small road to Ovillers and then down a track to Crucifix Corner near to Blight Valley cemetery and then up a track to Nab valley. The apartment is well equipped if you want to cook but also we ate at the lovely restaurant next to the river.

A charming country house is set amidst lush greenery, with a stone pathway leading to the front entrance. Large windows invite natural light, while trees provide shade, enhancing the peaceful outdoor environment.
