Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Aswan Governorate

This is such a great place to stay especially if you want to get a feel of the Nubian lifestyle and experience. The location is great as the island is super pretty and the food is better in the restaurants there than on the East bank. Really cheap for such a cute place, it’s got an AC (you’ll need it if you come after April!) and you can watch the sunset from there. Fawzy was also super helpful and helped us arrange a boat sunset ride. Place can be a bit tricky to find but Fawzy was kind enough to pick us up from a nearby restaurant. 100% recommend!

We had a super week-long stay at Hamo Fathy Nubian House; very comfortable, clean, relaxing, & fun. The property is just like the photos show. We liked the strong bedroom AC, ceiling fans, solid WiFi, smart TV, hot water, full kitchen, wash machine, comfy beds, excess fresh linens, and lighting options. No view, but just a few minutes walk from nice riverside restaurants with terraces (cold beer), water taxi to Aswan city (10 pound fare), groceries, ancient ruins, and swimming spots. No cars or motos on Elephantine; small sandy lanes criss-cross the island. Neighbors all smile and say 'welcome'. It feels like a different world/time. Best of all is Mohamed the host. Very responsive, kind, and helpful. Great English & well-traveled. No sales pressure - but can arrange anything you want at fair prices. He set-up our airport pick-up, private day tours, shared Abu Simbel van, felucca and motor boat rides. He's permanently in my phone as resource for all of Egypt. Highly recommended!

My stay at Eman's Nubia house on Elephantine Island was simply unforgettable. The location is perfect, with stunning views of the Nile and a quiet atmosphere that allows you to completely disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city. Eman's hospitality was exceptional, always attentive to every detail to make our experience unique. The house is cozy, clean and decorated with traditional Nubian elements that give it an authentic and special touch. In addition, Elefantina Island is a magical place, ideal for exploring the local culture and enjoying relaxing walks along its trails. The connection with the locals, added to Eman's warmth, made us feel at home. I would recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic stay in Aswan. We will definitely be back. Staying at this place was the most magical thing we could do for our stay in Aswan. The view is breathtaking, it's clean, is quiet, is calm and the house has everything you need. Also there is egyptian breakfast included! (Yum) Dealing with Andrea was so easy, she is super flexible and accommodating. She also has a very good knowledge of Aswan and surroundings and gives the best recommendations. Thank you Andrea for facilitating the best for our trip.

My friends and I stayed here only for a day, but it was a good experience. The host was very helpful with arranging anything we needed from transport to restaurants in the area. Definitely recommended.

Nice apartment on the island. There is a public ferry service running daily with a break during night hours, so plan accordingly. The apartment is on the roof with no elevator, but it's like 1.5 floors and is not very steep. Taher is very friendly and pretty responsive. It's a good place to stay in Aswan.

Stayed one evening in Aswan for a very good experience and unforgettable experience.Raghda personally arranged the pick-up for me, and met me at the pier in person, brought me inside his home, the location of this home was on the west side of Koh Chang, which meant it was very quiet and close to the Nile, where I had a wonderful early morning by the quiet Nile River in the morning.The host arranged everything for me and the price was very reasonable and on the way.And always helped me with any difficulties I had, so I never felt uneasy even if Aswan, who was not particularly sincere in the travel environment.All in all if you are tired of the bustling urban area, if you need a quiet environment to enjoy, this is a good choice for you.

Hany is an amazing host and my 3 children and I are excited to have met him. Very cultured and sharing, he welcomed us as his own family. I'm sorry I only stayed for one night. Hany has many activities to offer (mehare in the desert, photo shoot, etc.) and lots to tell. It was a very nice meeting and I encourage all my backpacker friends to come to his home at least 1 night. Even if it hosts a crocodile😉🐊...

The place was amazing — very clean, quiet, and felt just like home. It's conveniently located near everything, and the Nile view was absolutely stunning. Karim was extremely friendly and supportive throughout the stay. I truly hope to visit again soon!

It's a great experience to stay at this apartment. It was sparkling clean with all the necessary modern amenities and kitchen equipment. The owner, Mr. Abdullah, is a great person. He is very communicative and helpful from day one. I started my queries before my booking, and he always guided me in a proper wayand always ready to help us. We completed our local tours in Aswan with Abu Simbel temple in his beautiful car. He always tried to provide his best support and was with us as a friend cum brother. Finally, we got our long-awaited fresh fish of the Nile and great preparations of those fish with the help of his recommendations. We are thankful to God for getting a chance to meet such a good person. Our trip to Aswan can't be so pleasant without him. No doubt, we will stay again in this apartment if visit Aswan in the future. God bless him.

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation! The place was super clean, very bright, and air-conditioned, which was perfect in the heat. The location is ideal, just steps from the center and walkable distance from restaurants, shops and everything needed. The neighborhood is very calm. Hamza was an exceptional host: he anticipated all our needs, recommended excellent restaurants, provided reliable contacts for tuk-tuks, and was always available, kind, and very professional. Very efficient check-in. I highly recommend Hamza and his place.

Mohamed's apartment is very large, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room. It's renovated, quite modern, and clean. It's a fourth floor with an elevator, and it's very comfortable. I had a little trouble with the car (parking fine), so you have to make sure you know where you can and cannot park. But otherwise the apartment is great. And downstairs there is a small supermarket, very convenient for small purchases.

Extremely smooth rental, Maher was very accommodating and it felt like we were very well taken care off. Fully recommend!

Good location, perfect value for money. The only problem is the noise: unfortunately the rooms overlook the traffic and there are glass doors that show a beautiful view of the mosque but do not insulate well. Otherwise, Moaga was very friendly and helpful, I would recommend it.

Ashraf and his wife are very hospitable, at your disposal and offer you a simple but comfortable place to stay . You'll be right next to the ferry and plenty of small restaurants . Thanks again for your kindness!

This is a very comfortable and pretty apartment in a typical Egyptian neighborhood not far south of the Corniche, where we felt quite at home. We would gladly stay there again!

The cat was good and the accommodation was good, but we need to get rid of enough mosquitoes

This is an amazing place for those who want out of the tourist hordes. It is relaxed, beautiful and in the Nubian village. We were greated with hibocus tea and treated to delicious food on the patio or in the yard. The rooms had AC although the place had agreat rustic vibe. The hosts very friendly and great.

The stay at Mostafa's place was beautiful. The quiet location on Elephantine Island is the most beautiful place for a vacation in Aswan. Mostafa's mother, who lives in the house, lovingly and unexpectedly provided us with Iftaressen in Ramadan and we felt well taken care of. Mostafa took us on a relaxing boat trip, where we could talk to him very well and visit many sights. The apartment with balcony was spacious and very well equipped, making self-catering possible.
