The renovation has updated the performance in terms of thermal insulation, earthquake resistance, soundproofing, and more. It looks like an old folk house, but the interior is a modern Japanese-style, relaxing space with plenty of local Nara wood. It's warm in winter and comfortable in summer. There is also a wood-burning stove, so you can spend a special time around the flickering flames. "A scenic place loved by the people of Manyo" Miyataki is a small hamlet in Yoshino, the beautiful home of Manyō, which is a World Heritage Site and is also said to be "Japan's top cherry blossom viewing spot." Miyataki was once the site of the emperor's secondary residence, "Yoshinomiya," and is also a place steeped in history where the "Jinshin Rebellion" took place. Many poems praising the scenic beauty of Miyataki are included in the Manyoshu. This area, where the clear Yoshino River flows, is known as one of the best river play spots in the Kansai region, and it is crowded with many river play visitors during the summer vacation period. We decided to renovate a 100-year-old traditional house where my grandparents lived for many years as umbrella and lantern craftsmen in Miyataki and revive it as "Chouchin no Yado". Taking advantage of its location "right by the river where you can play", this accommodation is easy to use even for large groups such as multiple households or friends. We hope you will use it as a base for sightseeing in Yoshino, river activities, and BBQs while feeling the breath of history and nature. There is a private sauna and a water bath (tarai) in the courtyard. If you love saunas, please come and enjoy them.

Kashinoki-an is in a very convenient location, just a 3-minute walk from Kintetsu Kashihara-Jingu-Mae Station. Kashihara Jingu Shrine is a historic town with the mausoleum and shrine of the first emperor of Japan, in the place where Japan began. It is also a place with a lot of greenery and nature. In the neighborhood, there is Asuka, which retains the appearance of ancient Japan, and is dotted with many ruins. Imai-cho, where the old streets from the Edo period still exist, is also a highlight. Kashinoki-an is a pure Japanese-style house built over 60 years ago, and you can also enjoy the garden. The kitchen and bathroom have been renovated for a pleasant stay. There is also a tourist information center, restaurant, tavern, supermarket, drug store, convenience store, and 100-yen shop nearby, making it very convenient. You can also get to Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara in about an hour.

The scenery of Japan's first capital, Asuka, has been preserved by the Asuka Law for 1400 years without change. There you will find nostalgic Japanese original scenery that will soothe your heart. The inn is located in the heart of the village, Asuka Village, in the Asuka area. The exterior of the inn is made of Yoshino cedar and finished with plaster. The interior is decorated with joinery and stairs relocated from a 100-year-old private house, and a single board of Yoshino cedar. The interior is finished with traditional Japanese tatami mats, floor-to-ceiling and decorative pillars, and numerous props, making it an accommodation where you can feel Japanese tradition everywhere. Nearby, you can feel the history of ancient times with Japan's oldest Asuka-ji Temple and Asuka-za Shrine, which is also famous in the Nihon Shoki.

A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. Easy access via bus and train, supermarket, restaurants, convenience store, bakery, and a Japanese bath house just minutes away. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!
