Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Aso District

Meiko’s place was one of the nicest experiences we had in Japan- the design was beautiful and her family also run a farm around the house. The place is surrounded by woods and the sauna is wood-fired and really hits the spot after being out. The house is in a small village and only 10 minutes to Kurokawa Onsen. Meiko helped us make dinner reservations and had plenty of great suggestions for things to do and good onsen to visit. I really recommend that you also get the extra breakfast- her mom and dad also help prepare it and it is delicious and traditional Japanese breakfast. I couldn’t recommend this place enough! You will need to have your own car to stay here.

This place exceeded our expectations. The villa itself was spacious, modern, very nice. The view was breathtaking! Highly recommend. We would love to have stayed longer and to come back in the future. Self check-in was easy.

We had a lovely stay end of March 2025. This is by far my favorite BNB in the whole wide world! Everything was so well equipped, even has cleansing oil and sanity pads for forgetful humans like me. Owner has beautiful potteries, long list of amenities supply, video games, guitar, and a big table with heater and blanket in the living room. Towels and linens were super clean, the whole place was squeaky clean! Super comfortable to stay in. The beautifully decorated sake area was amazing! We will come back with more friends and family next time! Best of all, it is dog friendly!!! My dog Melly loved it here 🤎

Of all the airbnbs I have stayed over the years, this was probably my nicest experience to date. The site the property is located on is stunning. The house itself is traditional yet high end and tastefully decorated. I have never seen such a large wooden bath tub! The experienced available at the property are one of a kind: a peek into authentic Japanese culture. We did Kyudo and Taiko - both were very memorable in different ways. To top of off, the service provided was so accomodating, relaxed, and thorough. We didn't drive there, so were dropped at different restaurabts in the evenings. Transport options to the property were provided, and they even helped to book an onward taxi. Don't miss this place if you are visiting Kyushu.

The perfect place to stay near Mt. Aso! So peaceful and quiet, we loved it!

Peaceful and refreshing stay at Jonathan's for our small family! The cabin has a lot of charm and is well equipped for a few days. Our kids loved the chickens and sleeping on futons 😉 Jonathan is very nice and accommodating, thank you so much!!!

The room was clean and tidy, and check-in and check-out were smooth.Instant coffee, etc. were available, and I had steamed bread and coffee for breakfast, which the host provided.I was unable to meet the host due to my schedule, but they kindly responded and provided information about nearby restaurants.I will use it again.

Only stayed for one night The environment was comfortable and the heater was turned on when it was warm, because it would be closer to the suburbs there would be insects in the room already provided good extermination

We booked the appartement "Scene C" for 4 nights originally but we felt so good that we extended our stay to 6 nights. The communication with the hosts was very easy, they are respectful of our privacy and very responsive. The apartment is fully equipped to cook, the living room is cozy and big, the terrace has a nice hammock to relax. Everything is extra clean. Despite the cold weather outside, we could quickly warm up the place thanks to the air conditioning system. There are restaurants and grocery stores a few minutes away by foot. I highly recommend!!
