Great spot, love it every time that we come and would definitely stay again without a doubt

HiraLion's place is a comfortable house with eclectic charm. Its exterior garden makes it easy to find during that last stretch of walking at the end of a busy day exploring. Located very close to two train stations, grocery stores, and shopping arcades (covered avenues lined with shops and izakayas), you will find plenty to do in the neighborhood and beyond. We also enjoyed getting bento and onigiri at the local market (3-minute walk from the house) and staying in and enjoying the record player and retro video games. Keep in mind that the neighborhood is not a late-night place, so head to the market and shopping arcade between mid morning and early afternoon. We would definitely stay again if we return!

Natsuko is a very kind and helpful host. She made sure we feel comfortable at her place. She even pick us up at the subway station to show us the way to her place and tell us about the neighbourhood especially where the good restaurants are. The place is the same as advertised. It is clean and very cozy. I’m happy that I finally get to stay in a tatami house without spending that much. We got everything we need in there. Location wise, the Midosuji line is a few minutes walk and there are 711 and Lawson nearby. The JR line is also close by which is a very big help on our way to the airport. I got two luggages (one is a big one) which made me worry a lot. Thankfully, the nearby JR line has elevators which made it convenient for us (no need to take stairs like when we were in Tokyo) and we didn’t need to transfer to another line, we just stayed in the same platform to get into another train bound for the airport. It was a very smooth and convenient trip to the airport.

From the moment I arrived, Yuki and Emuri went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for. Their home is beautifully designed/maintained...but it's their warmth, generosity, and kindness that truly set this experience apart. They anticipated every need, from helpful local tips to small gestures that made a huge difference during a very difficult personal time. When unexpected circumstances required their help with my luggage, they handled everything with grace and without hesitation. I’ve stayed in many Airbnbs around the world, but I can honestly say I’ve never encountered hosts as genuinely compassionate and generous as Yuki and Emuri. Their hospitality left a lasting impression, and I will always remember the comfort and humanity they offered when it mattered most. If you have the opportunity to stay heredo not hesitate. This isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a place where you’ll feel at home.

Ryoji’s apartment is very spacious, with one bedroom on the first floor and four bedrooms on the second floor. The family area is comfortable and roomy, and the double shower setup is practical since it cuts wait times in half. Also, the rooms have proper separation and are not just number padding where a screen is placed in a room and suddenly it is called two rooms. Unlike some other places I stayed at during my Japan travels, the stairs here are not overly steep and narrow, which means minimal tripping hazard for bigger-bodied travelers. #Merica The location is excellent. It is tucked in a quiet neighborhood, yet just one crosswalk away from all the bustle of Kyoto Station.

This cozy home is just 2 mins walking from the historic resort Toji Temple and 8 mins walking to Toji station which is convenient to everywhere we want to visit. This entire home is very quiet and charming. It’s a typical Japanese style decor inside and has everything we need . I’ll strongly recommend here to everyone who wants to explore Kyoto.

Our stay in Dutch bay was perfect from start to finish. Great communication with Kian and Janah (nothing is too much trouble). Kasthuri the housekeeper is amazing and so helpful - lovely breakfast everyday! Arshath the recommended tuk tuk driver is like having your own personal guide/driver. We met a couple who were using an App for tuk tuk trips and Arshaths fares were much better. I needed to see a doctor on our last day and Arshath arranged an appointment and brought us to the hospital. There’s really nothing more I can add, if you want a relaxing stay away from the busy tourist crowds (a short tuk tuk drive away) then this is the place.

Marina was a very responsive and helpful host from the beginning. Booking was hassle free and instructions were clear. The house was beautiful and was definitely a highlight of our Japan trip. We loved the quiet neighbourhood and nearby local restaurants. The house is around 15-20mins walk to Nara park and it passes through Naramachi which is a nice local neighbourhood. There is a local map on the study table highlighting local gems and we actually tried a few places they were all amazing! Thank you for the experience, we really enjoyed Nara and your place. <3

Yuta went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay special. He is a genuinely kind person and cares very much for everything and everyone around him. The home is very traditional but clean and with modern touches. There is a ton of space and everything is maintained very well. The beds are extremely comfortable. The soaker tub was delightful and in house laundry was key for us with only a few days of clothes and backpacks.. The location is perfect for tourism. The Kenrokuen gardens nearby are stunning! The samurai district and tea district’s were beautiful, too. The tea ceremony activity was really fun. Yuta can help you make reservations by calling on your behalf. A++++ experience, 10 out of 10, would definitely go back!! Thank you, Yuta san 🙏🏼

If I could give the host 6 stars, I would. We were travelling with 3 young children. The host is very responsive and answered our enquiries promptly. Our requests to leave our luggages at the unit before check in time and pick up later after check out time were also fulfilled and those were life-savers. There are Family mart, 7-eleven and many eateries nearby. Within walking distance from Jr station and some bus stations. The place was quite at night and we had peaceful sleep. We will definitely choose this unit again if we were to come to Kyoto again.

Eine mega Wohnung für Takayama! Sehr gross und mit sehr viel Design. Die Lage ist ganz ist ganz toll. Besonderes Highlight: der eigene Kino-Saal!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful townhouse in Kyoto! The space was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. It was perfect for our group of 6. The host went above and beyond by providing thoughtful amenities like disposable razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and combs, which added an extra level of comfort to an already great stay. Everything was smooth from check-in to check-out, and the location made it easy for us to explore the city. We truly felt at home and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

We truly enjoyed our stay! We were three friends, and the house felt like our own fully equipped, cozy, and comfortable. The location is perfect, just five minutes from the beach, and the area is calm and peaceful. Our host was excellent quick to respond, very helpful, and provided clear, detailed instructions. 성인되고 처음으로 부모님 모시고 간 효도 여행이라 숙소 걱정이 정말 많아서 열심히 찾아보고 모시고 간 숙소였는데 다행히 취향 제일 까다로운 아버지가 여행 중에 숙소가 제일 마음에 들었다고 하셨어요 독채 크기도 크고 넓고 공용공간도 깔끔하고 쾌적하고 너무 좋았어요 !!! 다음에 또 이용하고 싶을 정도였습니다

This was a great place to stay with an amazing little beach within walking distance. There are plenty of places to buy groceries and eat / drink nearby and Kokoni was a very communicative host. Would definitely recommend!

호스트님이 친절하시고, 잘 챙겨주심.(체크인도 원활하게 해주고..) 회사 워크샵으로 이용했는데, 넓은 공간이라서 원활하고 편하게 사용함. 스마트TV에 노트북연결하고., 식탁 의자, 거실쇼파등에서 미팅이 좋았음. 침실 침대도 좋고, 쉬는 시간 게임도 하고.. 같이 간 사람들에게 칭찬 받음요.

Lovely private place, short walk from BTS and has some lovely cafes and bars right on the doorstep. Host was very responsive and helpful.

Stayed here with a group of 7 and had a wonderful time. It’s a really cool layout with everyone getting their own a/c’d bedroom and it’s right in the middle of the very vibrant and lively old quarter neighborhood. Would definitely book again.

Private Pool is amazing. There are a lot of restaurants near the house and beach is also nearby. Overall very good.

It was a great place to stay. The host was amazing and paid very well attention to their guest. We asked and she delivered. The beds were clean and AC worked. Pool was kept clean as well. Though there was major construction next to the building. It was VERY disturbing. They would be working till 11pm at night and start work again at 4am in the morning. JACKHAMMERING!?!. 4AM IN THE MORNING?!?. yeah it didn't go well. Just a warning for others planning on staying here. The place itself was amazing and great location with plenty of great food and good host. It's not the place or host. It's the construction.

Great townhouse and brand new when we checked in. Rooms and bathrooms were in immaculate conditions. Despite being at the end of the lane, the building is easily found. However, it’s next to a swimming pool (over the high wall) so you’ll hear the occasion sound of crowd and whistle. It only affects the main master bedroom which fronts onto the front lane. Hosts were super responsive and all the instructions were super clear. Will stay again.

We had a great stay in The Place.. we are in a big group but still we are comfy and satisfied with this 5 floors building type , hotel like accommodation....very cozy rooms and accessible to public transportation esp in BTS and pier.. highly recommend the host Eakdanai and the place... 2 thumbs up!!!!
