Had a really nice stay here on our last night in Iceland. I was very glad to find this place that would accommodate my family of 8 in this rural setting. Wanted to stay close to the national park, and there were not many options other than this. The place was better than I was expecting/pics led on. I was worried we would be cramped, but that was not the case. Other than one of the bedrooms, plenty of space. On that bedroom, I knew going in it would be tight based on pics. In spite of being a bit cramped, not a big deal. Slept fine in that room, and everyone in general slept fine. Main floor was roomier than i thought. Plenty of room in kitchen and other rooms for all. Kids loved the place. Not too far from murals and ocean. Only issue i had was no shampoo in the place. No idea if I knew that before and forgot or should have known it, but it surprised me. Not a big deal. I did not inquire about it either as I was in a hurry. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
A well-equipped kitchen features dark cabinetry, a built-in oven, and a sleek countertop. A window provides views of the fjord, while a lamp and decorative bowl add functional touches. The space is illuminated by ceiling lights along the ceiling, creating a bright environment.

Lovely 2-bedroom apartment with a view

I had such an incredible time in Iceland. The place was very clean when I arrived and the hosts were very communicative. The apartment had everything I needed while I was there for a week. I absolutely will be renting again when I come back in six months.

Cosy Cottage With a view at the glacier & the sea.

The cottage is very comfortable and cozy, and is located in a beautiful location. Kristín is the perfect host, very responsive to our questions. I highly recommend her cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful vacation on Snæfellsnes.

Glacier view cabin w/ private hot tub

LisaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The location and views were breathtaking. Sadly the day we arrived we couldn't see the glacier or surrounding mountains due to cloudcover but when we were leaving, we saw just how beautiful the area was. The hot tub was a nice plus and the host was always responsive and super gracious about giving us an early check-in to accommodate our desire to drive earlier before the big snow and windstorm hit. The location was super close to many sites (crater, cliffs, hot springs) and also a great point to visit the Snaefellsnes Peninsula from. In our case, the winds of 40m/s combined with horizontal snow was too treacherous to make the drive in (and we couldn't see any of the sights due to no visibility) so we hung out in the hot tub and took it easy while a the cabin. There were board games that helped for the downtime!
An observation deck extends from a rocky cliff, offering views of the ocean below. The sky is filled with soft hues of orange and blue, reflecting the warmth of sunset. A solitary figure stands at the edge, taking in the expansive landscape.

Sea, fjord & mountain view house

TammiRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean and comfortable and easy to find. It was conveniently close to many things. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again. We saw the northern lights outside 2 evenings in a row. That was a nice bonus.

Veronika’s place was lovely! Perfectly isolated but only a short drive to shops. It was a beautiful area with horses nearby and easy access to other sights in the Snæfellsnes Peninsula! Would stay there again!

Ólafsvík - one bedroom apartment # 3

AdamRating, 5 stars5 days ago
This was my second time staying, and I will continue to return whenever I go to Iceland. This place is great . . . super clean, awesome bathroom (including washer and dryer, which really come in handy for refreshing our clothing supply on trips), comfortable beds, and a nice, small kitchen area. The location is perfect as a base for exploring the Snæfellsnes Península, and Ólafsvík is a great stop in and of itself, with a beautiful waterfall overlooking the town, which you can hike to the top of . . . a highlight of our trip. Small, grocery store nearby, as well as a restaurant and small diner at the gas station down the street. Thanks to Kristin for providing this little gem of a place to stay!
