There are many great accommodations on Airbnb and Doratei has to be amongst the very best. The location is serine and peaceful, the house is beautifully designed inside and out, and the amenities well thought out and comprehensive. But where doratei really shines is the host. Lee is incredibly fiendly, informative and helpful. From leaving locally farmed rice as a welcome gift to a very special tour of the neighbourhood his knowledge and enthusiasm for the area and kind nature made this stay truly memorable. I would recommend Doratei to anyone visiting the area as their first choice!

Had an amazing time! We stayed at this place to visit Nitama at nearby Kishi station. The host Hiroe was super friendly and drove us to the station and grocery store. The house is gorgeous and exactly as described. 10 out of 10 would stay here again!! Thank you Hiroe!

Superbe appartement très proche des temples et à 20 minutes à pieds du cimetière okunion. Par ailleurs Ryochi a fait en sorte, et s’est assuré de manière constante, que notre séjour se passe au mieux. Il nous a recommandé de nombreuses activités, visites et restaurants, tous à la hauteur de nos attentes et des descriptions qu’il en avait faites! En bref Ryochi est un hôte particulièrement accessible, accueillant, sympathique, et prévenant. Tout était parfait !

We stayed for a couple of nights at Genchiros’s place to complete the Koyasan Choishi-Michi trail. I have to say this was one of the most enjoyable stays on our trip to Japan thanks to Genchiro, who provides homely experience to travallers coming to stay in his little house. The location of the house is ideal to feel peaceful before any hikes or activities you want to do in the area. Koyaguchi is a beautiful place to be on its own and the little house is a reflection of the beauty this place holds. Inside the house you will find everything you might need during your stay and Genchiro cares enough to explain how to use all the things in the house in great detail, so its easy for you as a guest to feel at home. Overall, this experience could not be better. Thank you, Genchiro!

Un endroit magique par son calme et sa beauté. Un bien-être instantané nous a traversé dès notre arrivé. Nous aurions aimé y séjourner plus que 2 jours. Nous avions loué une voiture ce qui nous a permis de visiter la région du kumano kodo aisément.

Beautiful well preserved Japanese traditional house. Spacious and homey as described. There is a nice and quiet courtyard as well. Really love the citrus there. A convenient store is just within walking distance. Staying here is enjoyful and relaxing. Our host is always responsive and provided almost all amenities we need during the stay. Hope we would have a chance to stay here next time. Tips for height more than 175cm people, you should be careful about the beams over your head.

What are great place to relax, nothing but nature - a babbling brook and and super tall tress. Its was the perfect place to end our hike. Lots of amenities in the house and host is a really really nice person. Clean and new.

Ito San is an amazing host and a very kind person who went above and beyond to ensure our stay at Moon and Sky was comfortable and enjoyable. From meeting us at the train station upon arrival to providing a thorough tour of the house and offering helpful recommendations for local events, Ito San's hospitality was truly outstanding. The room and the house was very clean, spacious, and well-equipped during our long-term stay, and we appreciated the opportunity to interact with locals and other guests during the weekends. This is by far the best Airbnb experience I have ever had! I highly recommend Moon and Sky to anyone seeking a long or short-term stay in Wakayama, and I can't thank Ito San enough for making our time there so memorable.

夏先生是一位非常热情好客的房东，他在我们入住的时候提供了非常多的帮助和本地攻略，推荐了很多本地值得去的地方，对他表示非常感谢～房子虽然有些历史但翻新过，设施都很干净好用，洗手间需要共用但并没有觉得不便的地方，房子充满了有趣的布置还有好闻的檀香味道，床铺也很松软，我们住了两晚休息得非常好～且租车也有停车的位置，离海边很近，强烈推荐入住～

Very nice spacious apartment with all amenities, well equipped kitchen including condiments. Beautiful bathroom and comfortable beds. Walking distance to train station and bus station as well as Wakayama Castle.

这次的旅行很满意，这是我第一次来到日本，来到和歌山县，Kazu和他的妻子是很好的host。第一天的时候来等我和我的朋友回家，然后开车带我们去吃饭。真的很开心遇到他们。在这里可以体验不同的乡村生活，Kazu还可以提供自行车给我们出行提供便利，他们的床很舒服，浴室和卫生间很干净，还提供私密的二楼，二楼还有可以和朋友聊天的客厅。而且这里到电车站很近只需要几分钟，附近还有罗森可以吃一些便当。总之是很好的体验，欢迎大家来入住，有机会再见啦！

What a fantastic place, the owners are both fantastic and they cook the best meals we had in our Japan holidays, you can see and feel the passion for what they do, they own a tea farm and their tea is really delicious, they are very accommodating and they will help you with anything, definitely worth every single dollar. This home was a good place to rest and reset. A bit farther from the temple stays and main road. The shared spaces in the first floor were nice and clean. The rooms upstairs are beautiful and traditional. We were the only guests there when we stayed, so it was as if having the house to ourselves. Overall a good experience.
