Spectacular Dome with a View of the Lagoon | Andahuaylas

The place is beautiful, it worth it 100%. Everything is clean, American breakfast is included. The service is personalized and they take care of any difficulties. If they go if car they can ask for a taxi number from Luis, it costs 40 soles from Andahuaylas and 20 soles from the same lagoon. There is a lot of privacy, silence and the scenery is breathtaking.

Soraypampa Hostel near Lake Humantay/Salkantaytrek

The dome was a very nice experience to look up at the stars through the glass ceiling while warm in bed. The blankets are enough to stay warm on cold nights. The place is really a hostel and most guests are there for the Salkantay Trek, so don't go with Western standards expecting a fancy hotel. The community bathroom was in average condition at best, but it is the best bathroom you will find for the rest of the trek. Meals are served to everyone at the same time. The food quality was mediocre and there are no choices; you get what you get. I took a colectivo from Cusco to Mollepata for 20 soles then they arranged a private driver up to Soraypampa which was a beautiful 30 minute drive. Meals are 20-25 soles. Breakfast was tasty but underwhelming in terms of quantity, especially when preparing for an 8-10 hour hike. Considering how remote the location is, they do provide a good experience overall. I would definitely stay there again.

If you are looking for a peaceful get away surrounded by the Peruvian Mountains, The amazing Haypo Lake and sleep looking at the stars, look no further. This is it! Jose was very responsive at all times and Aide (The most amazing Host) alongside with Oso (beautiful dog named ‘Bear’) will greet you with open arms and will take care of any of your needs right on the spot. The domes are super clean and warm. I will definitely come back. I would recommend to bring some snacks and drinks of your own to have it in the dome. Also the internet should be fixed because it didn’t work while I was there, but I didn’t mind much since the idea was to be away from everything but it would be good to have it available for an emergency. Plenty of things to do there just need to book your tours in advanced but overall, I had the best experience ever! I already miss Aide and Oso. Thank you for making my stay an unforgettable experience.
