The accommodation is on Appenzellerstrasse, from Gais to Appenzell. The house is bright and offers plenty of space for 3-4 people on the ground floor and first floor. It is a patrician house; the ceilings are higher (2.20 m) than typical Appenzell houses. The kitchen is fully equipped. 2 high chairs for children/baby cots are available. Dogs are welcome. Please register. Hiking trails start as soon as you cross the street. Important: There is also a separate listing on Airbnb for renting the entire part of the house (8 people).

The studio is located on the first floor, has its own private entrance, and is completely separate from our living area, except for the shared staircase. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway with a lot of artistry. This house was built by our aunt who was a teacher, feminist and art lover. She travelled, painted and collected art from artist friends. You can definitely expect surprises if you stay in this beautiful home and explore her collection. That is of course, if you are not exploring the Alpstein mountains, enjoying specialities from Appenzell or doing sightseeing. We value guests who appreciate our property and keep it tidy.

The approximately 400-year-old farmhouse, which is located at almost 700 meters above sea level, was partially renovated in 2019. The rustic base was skillfully combined with modern elements. The house is ideally furnished for family vacations of up to 6 people. Of course, groups, couples and individuals are also very welcome.
