MacDonald Home

KarenRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Marian was so accommodating with our stay, she allowed us to come n stay even though I had booked her place for the wrong date. She provided everything needed for our night and a much appreciated touch of cream n milk in the fridge for our coffee the next morning. There was a Willie Nelson LP on a record player which was so nice to listen to after a long day of and driving and sightseeing. I would absolutely stay at her place again.

Blacksmith Valley Carriage House

CarmenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
From the start everything went smoothly. Our daughter was graduating and we wanted a space that we could share with family. This spot was that and more. We were an easy 12 minute drive to the University. The hosts were responsive, helpful and accommodating. During our stay the power went down in the entire county. The hosts checked in on us bringing us a cooler and ice as a quick solution and were ready with the generator if needed! The house and the outside area was well equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. We were able to enjoy a barbecue on the outdoor deck while lounging on the comfy outdoor furniture. They were also kind enough to share some tips about the area and left us a little something to help celebrate our daughter’s big weekend! They truly helped to make our weekend perfect! Cheers to the perfect hosts!

Waterfront House near Pomquet Beach- 2 bedrooms

Brendan's place was a great stopover from the airport on our way to the Cabot trail. Although it was a little bit tight for 5 adults, we were happy to have the option en-route. The location is wonderful.

Duck Pond

The cabin is one of four cabins - probably very convenient if traveling with a group. It overlooks a water inlet. The cabin is well kept up but fairly basic in terms of dishes, etc. There is a beach nearby but we didn't visit it due to the mosquitos.

site 1, close to comfort station, camping site

KarinaRating, 5 stars22 months ago
This is a lovely site with superb facilities! We had a change of plans and didn't end up staying the night, but the views are beautiful and the showers and bathrooms were clean and much needed after our days of camping without plumbing :). Heather was also a great communicator. We didn't see much to speak of in the surrounding area, but if you are traveling through and need a place to camp this is a great spot!

Countryside Escape

MarleneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The space at Ashley’s place is a self contained large basement walkout with two very nice bedrooms, a spacious comfy living area with TV and a convenient setup with mini fridge, microwave and tea and coffee supplies. Very thoughtful little details throughout. We had two deer join us in the yard! Ashley allowed us to use her deck for a picnic dinner which was greatly appreciated. Lovely property about 12 minutes from Antigonish and about 30 minutes to Cape Breton.

Lake View Cottage - Lochaber Lake Lodges

DavidRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Amazing hosts.. and they make this place feel like home, on the lake. You’re going to leave wanting your own lake house, and for neighbors half this good. Beautiful spot on the lake with kayaks and a firepit right by the water. Had everything we needed and the hot tub melted the stress away.

Steinhart Distillery Cottage by the sea # 1

CynthiaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a lovely time. Cozy, warm, comfy cottage. Very comfortable beds. The wood stove at this time of year was perfect. It’s really not a cottage without a wood burning stove or fireplace. There were a number of unforeseen occurrences (e.g. power outage, electronic device failure) during our visit, all taken care of beautifully by staff and owners! Thank you!

Summit Lodge - Lochaber Lake Lodges

DarcieRating, 5 stars3 months ago
I and 4 other friends stayed at Summit Lodge for 2 nights. We were all so impressed with the craftmanship of the cottage, the cleanliness, simple, yet charming decor and the open interior with beautiful windows overlooking the lake and tree line. Immediately after booking, Brent sent helpful messages with clear instructions and guidance for our stay. The hot tub was perfect for five and the changing lights added some fun to its use in the evenings. We immediately started discussing a second trip in the warmer months to hopefully take advantage of that beautiful lake, kayaks and fire pit. I highly recommend these cottages, having previously stayed at another of the properties a year prior, Homesteader Lodge, which was equally beautiful. Thanks!
