We had a great time at Julie's place. there is a park for the kids close by and the beach is at the end of the road. The sunsets were beautiful as the the view from the deck at any time of the day. Thanks again Julie, the next time we're out we'll be sure to book again with you.
A vibrant sunset is captured over the water, with hues of orange and pink blending among the clouds. A grassy area is visible in the foreground, leading to the tranquil shoreline, where the sun meets the horizon.

Artist's Beach House

CindyRating, 5 stars21 months ago
Such a beautiful spot - right on the ocean with water views all around. The house worked very well for the 8 of us with lots of room to spread out and the beds were nice and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked with lots of dishes and gadgets. Wish we could have stayed longer. The host was attentive and quick to respond if needed. Hopefully we get back to visit again.

Duck Pond

The cabin is one of four cabins - probably very convenient if traveling with a group. It overlooks a water inlet. The cabin is well kept up but fairly basic in terms of dishes, etc. There is a beach nearby but we didn't visit it due to the mosquitos.
A tiny house with a wooden exterior is situated near the water, framed by greenery. A spacious deck with wooden railings extends from the house, offering views of the ocean and distant landscapes. The sky is bright, showcasing a mix of clouds and blue.

This is a lovely site with superb facilities! We had a change of plans and didn't end up staying the night, but the views are beautiful and the showers and bathrooms were clean and much needed after our days of camping without plumbing :). Heather was also a great communicator. We didn't see much to speak of in the surrounding area, but if you are traveling through and need a place to camp this is a great spot!

Linden Lea by the Sea "High Tide" Private Bunkie

MaxRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Nice little place to use as a starting point to do the Cabot Trail circuit! Booked it fairly last minute, but Ian was still there to great me with a smile on arrival and show me around the small space. Great little place if all you're looking to do is sleep and clean up a bit, since it's a smaller space with not many extras. I was in a rush booking and didn't realize the common area (couches, wood burning stove, some basic kitchen appliances) which includes the bathroom (a lockable room with the kitchen sink, shower, and toilet) were actually shared with the other bunkie on premises. The other guests were respectful and we had a nice short chat when bumping into each other on the way to a shower or such, before heading our separate ways. Although the separation of bed space did make any late night trips to the bathroom a bit chilly, as you have to walk out of your bunkie to the common room. But besides that, it was a clean, nice place to lay my head before a long day of adventuring.

We absolutely loved our stay! The cottage is super well designed (a mix of old and modern aesthetic), well stocked, and set alongside a gorgeous lake. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The hot tub and dog friendly-ness was icing on the cake. One of our top 3 Airbnb stays in Nova Scotia for sure! Highly recommend for a romantic getaway or for a cozy weekend with friends.

Homesteader Lodge - Lochaber Lake Lodges

we really enjoyed our stay. everything was great and the kids loved relaxing in the hottub and playing outside well I watched from the nice screened in porch. we were all very excited to see the eagles flying around and the kids got to see one fly down onto the ice on the lake. the house was very warm and welcoming and the beds were very comfortable. our four children slept well after relaxing in the hottub and then finishing the night with movies by the living room fire. would highly recommend.

Summit Lodge - Lochaber Lake Lodges

DarcieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I and 4 other friends stayed at Summit Lodge for 2 nights. We were all so impressed with the craftmanship of the cottage, the cleanliness, simple, yet charming decor and the open interior with beautiful windows overlooking the lake and tree line. Immediately after booking, Brent sent helpful messages with clear instructions and guidance for our stay. The hot tub was perfect for five and the changing lights added some fun to its use in the evenings. We immediately started discussing a second trip in the warmer months to hopefully take advantage of that beautiful lake, kayaks and fire pit. I highly recommend these cottages, having previously stayed at another of the properties a year prior, Homesteader Lodge, which was equally beautiful. Thanks!
Two cottages are visible, each featuring a wooden exterior and expansive decks. The sunlit scene highlights the smooth wooden railing and the lush green landscape beyond. Large glass doors provide an inviting connection to the outdoor space.

Stayed at Thomas' place while in town for kids St. FX ring ceremony. Great private and quiet location, loved the wood stove and hot tub! About 20-25 min drive into Antigonish, but nice to wake up to an ocean view! Would stay here again and sample more gin!
