Kowapana Hostel in Amacayacu, Amazonas

YenniRating, 5 stars5 months ago
This place is dreamy, beautiful, Mary's service phenomenal and accurate. Eusebio, Loyda, Grecy and Octavio, Ticuna family who was our hostess struggled to take care of us. I will never forget the stay, the beautiful place, hikes and beautiful landscapes. It's living from the simple, how magical, don't miss ticunas roots. Ahoo!!!
A large, multicolored sign spelling 'Puerto Nariño' is featured prominently in the foreground. Two individuals sit on a bench nearby, with a palm tree providing shade. The backdrop showcases a vibrant sunset over the water, with a cloudy sky creating a tranquil scene.

The room is very nice, it is easy to go to the center and it is very close to the Brazilian border. Mrs. Bernardina is very friendly and was attentive.
A colorful macaw is captured up close, displaying vivid blue and yellow feathers. Its large beak is open, revealing its tongue, and the bird’s expressive eyes and intricate facial markings are highlighted. Greens and browns of the surrounding foliage create a natural backdrop.

TREEHOUSE -RSERVA NATURAL TANIMBOCA-

BryantRating, 5 stars13 months ago
A real oasis. The disconnection of modern urban life to the natural jungle that “Amazonas” is, a connection to the natural wild life that the amazonas is and offers. This is not for the weak or the light hearted. A real adventure and challenge with a life time experience. Shout out to all the locals that work there and make the experience and stay there possibly and a reality.
A wooden lodge is situated amidst lush greenery, featuring a thatched roof made of palm leaves. A plastic chair is placed on the porch, while vibrant plants surround the entrance, enhancing the natural setting.

Amacayacu Lodge

FrankRating, 5 stars3 months ago
There are some trips that are difficult to put into words. It was not only a pleasure, but an owner to stay with Reinaldo and his family in Amacayacu. Ray was very communicative, claire in his instructions about how to get there, and sent his son Carlos to collect us from the ferry stop. The accommodation was simple, but impeccably clean. Ray’s partner Benilda is a wonderful cook, and they provided us with three meals a day – which were varied, delicious, and drew on traditional Colombian recipes. The village is faintly magical - the Ticuna families living there are welcoming, charming, and friendly. Ray provided tours at extremely affordable prices, accompanied us on m jungle walks, was extremely knowledgeable about the area, its history, legends, flora and fauna. This is off the beaten track, you will only have Internet twice a day, there’s no air-conditioning, but if you are visiting Amazonas, you would be foolish not to spend your time here in the heart of the Amazon.
