It's a lovely place on Lake Izabal. The beach looks golden; the house blends perfectly with the landscape. The house is very comfortable, designed to enjoy every space while enjoying the beauty of the lake. It has many rooms, making it ideal for large groups; many things to do inside and outside the house. Thank you so much for your attention and care.

My family of six (ages 52, 44, 42, 20, 15, 13) enjoyed our stay at the Villas of Cocoplum. The grounds were beautiful, very well cared for. The dock was great since it offered shade and sun. My son loved fishing off of it. We even got picked up at the dock when we were having boat days. It was so convenient. The two condos on the top floor had a great view and were comfortable. A/C worked really well! Anytime I had a question or needed help, the staff would respond within minutes. They were so kind and helpful! My only suggestion is to add some additional plates, coffee cups and kitchen utensils - but not really a big deal at all. Great place to stay, definitely felt like a good deal for the money spent.

A place to free and enjoy themselves, it has all the comforts and an excellent location. Once they arrive they don't want to go.

The house is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. My family and I were delighted. Everything was clean and tidy. The place is surrounded by nature, ideal for relaxing. The pool was a delight, perfect to enjoy as a family. Don Miguel's attention was excellent from the moment we arrived, always attentive and helpful. We would definitely come back, we were very happy!

The place is beautiful. Spacious environments. Nice to spend time with the family. Spacious pool. I had my wedding there and would do it there again without hesitation. Comfortably, 27 people are staying.

An extremely friendly and helpful owner. Living in harmony with the quiet nature and enjoying the farm's own products were the highlights for me. The remoteness was easy to overcome with the farm's driving service to the road. It was really fun with everyone who lives on the farm and I would like to come back at a different time, hopefully when it is not raining so much.

Excellent place to stay—private and quiet. I enjoyed the silence since I had to work from the apartment for a couple of days. When I finished work, it was really easy to meet friends since the location couldn’t be better. The place was pristine, clean, and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay.

Bathroom curtains cause water to splash outside and create moisture and the floor gets wet, someone can slip

The cabana was perfect. Ocean at your feet. Swam everyday. Beautiful breeze no need for air conditioning. Lived in my hammock. Everything is within walking distance. The caretaker Tracy was fantastic. So helpful, and kind. I would definitely stay again. The people of Belize are so warm.

This stay at Javier's was the most memorable of my 3-month trip to Guatemala. Everything is as described, the beauty of the place, accessible only by boat, the peaceful life of the inhabitants of this Quee Chi village, the river and its natural pool, the birds... And Javier, his kindness and attention, his good food and walks to discover the region... I feel "lucky" and I hope to make you want to come and disconnect in this unique environment too!

Very nice town to rest and spend some time with family. It's a short distance from other sites with attractions like the lake, and other nearby attractions. Very nice apartment, cleanliness and very good service

Phil's place is a great location for exploring Belize without the tourists! Centrally located in the southern part of the country, it was within an hour of great little villages like Placencia, Dangriga and Hopkins, as well as the mountains and cayes for hiking, zip lining, snorkeling, caving...you name it. It's off the beaten path, nestled in a reserve so be prepared for driving on dirt roads to get there, but hey, it's Belize, so that's common and you'll get used to it. We drove from Belize City so didn't take up Phil's offer to rent his personal Jeep, but you'll definitely need an SUV (that's all rental companies provide anyway). It's a good place to stay if you are allergic to tourists and want a nice quiet, peaceful home with all the amenities....but close enough to drive in for dinner or drinks with expats or tourists if you get lonely. Phil's house was super clean, safe, beautiful, comfortable and well provisioned. We stayed with our two teenage boys who loved the pool and the beach club with access to the ocean, paddle boards and kayaks. We had it to ourselves most days! There is no cable TV (which we loved) but Phil's got the most amazing collection of movies (1,000+) so you won't be bored (movie night was every night!). Since it's a bit remote, you likely won't be going out to eat every day, so stop by a grocery store in any of the towns on the way in or the surprisingly well-stocked store on the community, including a case of Belikin beer in a returnable crate (THE beer of Belize).

What a wonderful vacation! Having La Rontonda as our home base was perfect! Not only did the house/pool/beach exceed all expectations, we were just a short, fun golf cart away from the village. We loved knowing Reuben and Mariza were available when we needed them but had their home far enough away that we still felt very private, the gate was nice also! A golf cart made every journey into town an adventure, would highly recommend Captain Jacks for the golf cart rental. The private beach was wonderful, we felt like we were on our very own on island. Thank you so much Rene for your quick responses to my many questions! We give La Rotonda 5 stars!

At first I was a little skeptical for the reviews reporting scorpions at the house, so I asked the Host Eli if they did something about, she response was that the problem had been solved. For my piece of mind and the security of my child, nieces, nephews and my family I went ahead and bought pesticide just in case I needed it. Overall We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home! The house was exactly as described—spacious, clean, and perfect for our family vacations, the house is really gorgeous photos doesn’t do justice. We were a family of 14 and everyone had a great time, house its huge. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. we had a fantastic time and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The house is quite spacious and very nice, cozy and fully heated. It is somewhat withdrawn, but contributes to privacy and peace of mind to be between family. The kitchen is well equipped with all the utensils, only the stove, it is small, electric and has no power, that makes it difficult to cook even simple dishes. The beds, beds and pillows were comfortable and clean. Unfortunately, no pads or locks are helpful, which made it difficult to privacy when using the toilet. The water is de pozo but had demaciado sediment, dyeing reddish, and several showers had obstructions for this reason. In my stay only those inconveniences we had, everything else was excellent, we really enjoyed and will most likely return.

George was a truly great host, if I had any questions or need something, all I had to do was ask!! Would definitely stay with George again.
