Waterfront vacation rentals in Amarante

Nous avons loué tout l'etage pour 5 personnes: 3 chambres doubles, une cuisine avec une terrasse fermée, et deux salles de bains. L'appartement est très fonctionel, bien tenu et bien placé. Nous conseillons!

La casa estaba impecable, muy acogedora y con todo lo necesario para una estancia perfecta. El dueño fue encantador desde el primer momento: nos recibió con productos típicos de la zona y nos dio excelentes recomendaciones sobre lugares que visitar y dónde comer. Sin duda, una experiencia de 10. ¡Muy recomendable!

This is a lovely apartment with parking and elevator. The view from the balcony is stunning! Maria was very sweet and helpful. We had difficulty finding the location and Maria and I did not speak the same language so she had someone call me back that spoke English to help me find the location and answer any questions. Great location, great apartment. highly recommend :)

Fernando was a welcoming host, and even shared a 50 year old Porto with us. The house is a true gem, filled with antiques, and everything modern that subtly goes along with that. It was comfortable, the beds had the best linens, it was clean, and bright. The view and surroundings of the duoro Valley and the towns could not have been better. I wish to return if we ever come back to this beautiful area.

Absolut perfektes Airbnb. Alles war sauber und funktional. Die Wohnung roch gut und der Blick über den Fluss war absolut traumhaft. Die beiden Balkone versüßen den Aufenthalt. Die Küche bietet alles um selbst kochen zu können. Die Wohnug hat eine ideale Lage um in den Ort oder zum Fluss zu spazieren. Amarante ist bezaubernd und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Absolute Empfehlung!

Great place for two couples with beautiful views and close to the train station. Quiet but markets and restaurants were still around. The terrace was an absolute highlight with amazing river views. Great check in and communication process would stay again.

The family had a fantastic week at a great location. Joao was a great host and super helpful.

The little house is so sweet and kind of special. The garden is awesome and perfect for kids. Unfortunately, we didn’t know the pool season starts not until June. So we and our child enjoyed the beautiful garden. José is very friendly and helpful in every situation. Also there is a bread delivery every morning, that’s amazing. We can definitely recommend that place for people who love nature and quiet.

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend stay at this cozy and charming home! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. Marisa was incredibly kind, responsive, and made sure we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect – peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to local attractions and nature spots. Highly recommended – we’d love to come back again!

Antonio was extremely responsive and generous with his time- picking me up at the station and dropping me off, and giving me a lift to the supermarket and to the river beach as I do not have a car and have reduced mobility. For others with mobility issues, I would say that it is quite steep there (which they warned me about) however I did find a couple of nice walks that were doable for me. The nature is exceptionally beautiful: mists rolling over the river, birds of prey gliding overhead, birdsong, the scent of orange blossom… I also enjoyed making a fire in the wood burner in the evening. This is a convenient place to come from Porto as it is just a few minutes’ drive from the train station which is on a scenic route 1.5 hours from the city. Thanks so much for having me!

Where do I even start?! Staying at Maria's Casa do Rio felt like a magical home away from home. Maria and her sweet dogs gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and gave us a beautiful tour of the property with an overview of its history that you should not miss. She was very accommodating to our check-in time and sensitive to our plans during our stay, which were not many. Since we didn't have much planned for our spur-of-the-moment visit, we were delighted when Maria gave us many suggestions of activities on our own as well as ones with her such as a tour around the area, canoeing, hiking, yoga class, massage, cooking together and so much more. The charm and kind embrace by Maria was otherworldly and an experience in itself that we won't ever forget. If you have any reservations on booking your stay here, you shouldn't because you will not regret a single second at Casa do Rio. Every moment during our stay here is one we will treasure, and we'll be back to visit Maria and her Casa.

Absolutely stunning vista! Corner windows in the living room will have you relaxing and sipping wine all day! Great place to kick back and read or sit under the orange trees and ponder life. The wine making process was intimate with this family run estate. We learned a lot and had lots of questions they answered with expertise. We had only an overnight stay on our way home to Canada but could easily have stayed several days. Great place. Great value.

Nous avons passé un moment merveilleux chez Dulce : tout était parfait : le calme, la nature, les animaux, la maison typique, les équipements ( piscines, terrain de tennis, ping pong, pétanque, mini golf, équitation ) et surtout surtout l’extrême gentillesse de Dulce et son mari… ce sont des gens formidables avec qui nous avons pu échanger et nous ne remercierons jamais assez Dulce pour ses petites attentions : les œufs frais, les soupes, les gâteaux faits maison et les glaces offertes à nos enfants! Vous pouvez aller dans ce havre de paix les yeux fermés !!
