Located a few hundred feet from the Iris gardens at Horton farm, a six acre garden space with over 1400 Iris varieties. Bloom season is April and May. The cottage was built in 1945 on my family's heritage farm. She's located next to the old barn alongside a small Creek. A rustic homestead, built in 1860, set in a beautiful vineyard and farm. A very simple dwelling, with old and antique furnishings. It does have electric lights and a small bathroom with a shower, but that is about the last modernization this old homestead has seen in the last 160 years. If you are looking for a quiet get-away with no kitchen and no TV, where you can listen to the birds sing and squirrels play on the roof, then this is the place for you.
