Jacob's Cottage

Free WI-FI now available. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers and families (with kids). The Cottage is a quaint, Cape Cod style house built in 1950. It sits high on a hill in the heart of Maryland's Appalachian Mountains in Allegany County. It is surrounded by views of Wills Mountain and Shrivers Ridge. The Cottage sits amongst a 660 acre family managed forest. Visitors have spotted deer, turkey, rabbits, squirrels, black bear and a multitude of song birds.

Acorn Palace at Rocky Gap

The Acorn Palace is a treehouse-like tiny house perched high in the woods, surrounded by trees, with spectacular views of the forest and Rocky Gap State Park from the front porch and windows on all sides. It's perfect for those who want to escape to nature, but like their creature comforts: micro-kitchen, tiny woodstove, fire-ring, wi-fi, heat, A/C, hand-washing sink and incinerating toilet. A short walk down the hill is the hot-water shower, flush toilets and sinks (shared with other guests).

Oldtown Guesthouse

This two bedroom house is situated on a 1.3 acre lot, located right off Maryland 51. Whether you're just passing through or in the area to explore local attractions, this is a great resting spot. The Paw Paw tunnel, historic downtown Cumberland, C&O canal towpath, and more are all located within 15 miles. There’s hiking, biking, canoeing, and fishing options within a few miles of the house or stay at the house and enjoy a quiet getaway. There’s a few books, games and a roku tv for your use.

The River House

A cozy, spacious and private get away with access to entire finished house. Located river front of the South Branch of the Potomac River, giving it the best view in the area. This cottage is also within 3 miles of C&O Canal, 17 miles from Historical Romney, 15 miles to Cumberland, MD and 10 miles to the Paw Paw, WV tunnel. 2 kayaks and 1 canoe available for river excursions. Come enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing or simply soak in all nature has to offer in the backyard.

Awesome old Victorian a mile from historic downtown Cumberland. This house is a fantastic place to call home while you explore MD, WV and PA.
