Absolutely beautiful homely studio in the most peaceful surroundings - this place is such a hidden gem! Daniela was amazing in providing and helping organise local recommendations and could not have been a better host. We loved everything about this trip and would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time at Quinta da Galeira, which has spectacular views and is very roomy. The balcony is huge with lots of furniture and an outdoor dining table. There are orange and lemon trees on the grounds and we had fresh orange juice every morning using the juicer in the kitchen. Host/owners brought us a box of Pastel de Nata custard tarts our first morning there which was a sweet treat. Easy parking, cozy and quaint house, everything you could need to cook in the kitchen, and very private even though owners live onsite below the Airbnb. I would stay there again if I had the chance!

De belles vacances en famille avec piscine ! L'eau est fraîche mais avec la chaleur c'est agréable ! La maison est excentrée donc prévoir un véhicule mais c'est ce que nous recherchions! Raquel a été très réactive par rapport à mes demandes et nous a conseillé de jolis lieux de visite !

We had a lovely time at Daniela and Pedro's place near Tua. The area is peaceful and there's beautiful views from the land on the property, especially by the pool. The studio we stayed in was spacious and clean - perfect for what we needed. The hosts were very helpful too and made extra effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable. I would recommend this place as a good base if you want to explore the beautiful surrounding area of the Tua and Douro valleys.

Beautiful Museum like home in a small town in the midst of vineyards. The views at sunrise and sunset are fantastic and the vineyards go on forever. Ms. Fatima was great and made a delicious breakfast for us every morning. The little cafe down the street was amazing and the owner is very friendly and made us a delicious dinner the night of our arrival.

What a treasure! It’s a simple space but very clean and surpricingly spacious. There was a minifridge, coffee maker, glasses, dishes, and cutlery. The 2 km road from town is a bit steep at times, so we had to take a big breath as we are not used to driving in this terrain but it was really nice to have parking right outside. And let me tell you, the view was so worth it! So nice and peaceful sitting out on the terrace. It was nice to have flexible self check in, and the host was very friendly and responded fast! Five out of five!

Our stay at Lugar das Letras was nothing short of magical. This beautifully restored house, once an old school, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards—a true feast for the eyes. The rooms and bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, thoughtfully designed to make us feel at home. But what made our experience truly unforgettable were Carla and Paula, the two wonderful ladies who took care of every detail. Every morning, they prepared a memorable breakfast for our entire family, filled with warmth and care. Their kindness and hospitality turned our stay into a dream. We can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise in the Douro Valley. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place with great sorroundings. Huge pool with a private sunbed just for your house. Very comfy beds and well equipped. They produce their own wine and olive oil and we love it. I will definitely recommended and come back!

As minhas avaliações são fiáveis: sempre que existam, menciono pontos positivos e negativos. A casa foi remodelada por dentro (e por fora) e tem três quartos com camas de casal grandes em cada um (um no andar de cima, o principal onde está a cozinha o wc e a sala, e dois outros no andar de baixo). A casa é muito aconchegante. Estivemos lá duas noites e estivemos mesmo muito bem. Avaliação final: aconselho sem qualquer hesitação! Situações que requerem melhoria, embora não alterem a avaliação: (1) aquecimento para os quartos de baixo (em cima é via AC, que está na sala, mas em baixo não há nada): foi-nos emprestado um aquecedor, mas devia haver um para cada quarto. Contudo, os edredões são muito confortáveis e quentes, pelo que dormimos muito bem. (2) água quente sai com pouca pressão, embora, com alguma prática, se consiga misturar com água fria. (3) o contador precisa de mais potência, pois não aguenta com o AC e o fogão em simultâneo por exemplo (sei que estão a tratar disso).

Marias Unterkunft ist sehr zu empfehlen. Es ist wirklich schön und gemütlich dort. Alles vorhanden was man benötigt und sehr schön eingerichtet. Die Gegend ist traumhaft und man kann viel unternehmen oder einfach nur in den Weinbergen spazieren gehen. 5 Sterne sind noch zu wenig.

Cannot say enough about this place, its everything it says and lots more. The ladies that service the property along with preparing breakfasts were simply awesome. Aurora's chocolate cake was a hit, and we had it for dessert and breakfast! The location and views are postcard perfect and that comes with some nervous driving to get there, but once you know the quirks really not that bad, just be careful. Highly recommending this to friends that are planning a trip to this beautiful part of the world.

We had a lovely weekend getaway! Leonor and Katia were fantastic hosts—super helpful with local tips, always available, and very flexible with check-in. The place itself is beautiful, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s also pet-friendly, which was perfect for us—our dog loved playing in the spacious yard while we relaxed and enjoyed the scenery. We visited during Easter weekend, so there was a lively village celebration going on. It wasn’t quite the quiet escape we had imagined, but we still managed to unwind and even joined the festivities for a bit. If you’re looking for a tranquil retreat, this is definitely the place—just maybe avoid Easter if you’re after total peace and quiet.

Beau petit logement bien aménagé avec tout le nécessaire pour passer un séjour confortable. Très bien situé pour visiter la vallée du Haut-Douro. La proximité de Sabrosa est aussi appréciable avec quelques petits commerces et restaurants; n'hésitez pas si vous voulez séjourner dans le coin !
