Vacation rentals with breakfast in Alijó

I don't know where to start! Our visit to the Douro Valley couldn't have been better! Casa Souto was everything that we thought it would be. Both Mr. João Souto and Ms. Maria de Fatima were the absolute BEST hosts we've ever had. They went above and beyond in every conceivable way! They truly created a home for us, Thank you so very much, we appreciated our visit more than you'll ever know!! * hugs* from your canadian friends and new family members!! Love to you both! 🧡

Un logement très agréable, parfaitement équipé, dans un environnement paisible et très beau. Le jardin est magnifique. L'espace piscine est superbe. La communication avec Pedro a été très facile. L'accueil par Fatima très chaleureux. Et la bonne surprise du matin avec un excellent petit-déjeuner que nous a apporté Fatima (pâtisseries portugaises, jus d'orange pressé, etc) Un logement que nous recommandons sans hésitation. Nous avons passé une excellente semaine.

Pra mim e minha familia, nada melhor. Combinamos um local próximo a natureza e a regiões linda do Douro. Ótimo para estadia longa. voltarei sempre que puder. Valeu e muito. Muito limpo e anfitriões educadissimos.

We loved our stay at Quinta da Pousada. The place is beautiful and so peaceful. Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious and the service couldn’t have been any better. We also enjoyed our wine tasting. We will definitely be coming back to this magical place and I can't recommend it enough! Obrigada!!!

Um lugar tranquilo e calmo inserido numa quinta com vista para o vale e Olival. Retirado do centro da aldeia! Super bonito.

Jolie maison rénovée en juillet 2023, nous sommes les 2ème locataires, rdc + étage, cuisine et salon/table salle à manger en bas, suite parentale en haut par un escalier, très grande chambre, très bonne literie, salle de bain avec douche italienne spacieuse Tout est neuf, super équipé, même la vaisselle ne manque pas, jusqu'au petit détail, pour vous dire... Calme, dans une cour, donnant sur la rue du village, peu fréquentée Laissez-vous tenter par la maison de grand-mère Luisa, elle est super accueillante Tout comme Lurdes et sa fille qui ont été aux petits soins dès notre arrivée, nous conseillant N'hésitez surtout pas à demander à Lurdes les produits qu'elle fait elle-même et vend, huile d'olive, miel, produits de son jardin... Nous recommandons vivement, et nous y retournerons avec grand plaisirs Lurdes est une perle, comme sa fille Surtout que rien ne change, prenez soin d'elles!!! Séjour août 2023

I can truly say that this was the best Airbnb experience I have ever had. (And I experienced a lot of Air Bnbs). Puri and Paulo made me feel so welcome. I was traveling alone and after Porto I really wanted to see the Douro Valley and the vineyards. This was the best decision. The whole Douro area is just stunning and definitely worth a visit. And Puri's house makes it just perfect. After a long drive through the Douro Valley, Puri and Paulo welcomed me with delicious cheese and ham and most of all very tasty red wine and a 43 year old port. The best port wine I have ever drunk. In the morning I jogged around the village and it was just beautiful, in the evening they showed me the bakery of the village where they sell bread only in the evening and it was so nice. All the recommendations Puri and Paulo gave me were perfect and I enjoyed my trip through the valleys to the fullest. My room and bathroom were very clean and the backyard was just beautiful and a perfect place to relax. They showed me their wine cellar and where they make the delicious jam we had for breakfast every morning. All of Puri's food is super delicious and worth trying. Once I'm back in Portugal I will definitely go back there and can highly recommend a stay here! Many thanks to Puri and Paulo for being so welcoming. In German there is the term "Gastfreundschaft", a combination of guest and friendship. And that is what I found here. Thank you very much!

Très joli logement dans magnifique environnement. Le petit déjeuner le matin est appréciable. La piscine est partagée avec les autres voyageurs mais on les a peu croisés. Hôte très sympathique, merci pour tout!

Le domaine de José est magnifique avec une vue imprenable sur les collines. Le logement est très confortable. Et la localisation est idéale pour explorer la région. José s'est montré toujours très disponible. Le petit déjeuner est compris, copieux et délicieux. Je recommande vivement cette location.

Ruhe am Wasser (am Ende der Welt) Die Unterkunft war erst nach telefonischer Rückfrage zu finden, obwohl es nur wenige Gebäude im Ort hat. Dieser liegt SEHR abgeschieden, wer länger bleiben will, sollte gut einkaufen. Es hatte lediglich zwei Cafes und ein (geschlossenes) Restaurant dort. Der nächste Laden ist etwa eine 1/2 Stunde Autofahrt entfernt. Eine Anreise mit dem Zug wäre jedoch ebenfalls möglich. Es liegt jedoch traumhaft schön direkt am Fluss und der Verkehr an Schiffen, Zügen und Autos lässt sich fast zählen. Besonders hat mir die Umgebung mit den vielen Blumen, der Zugang zum Wasser und die vielen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten im Freien gefallen, sowohl am Schatten, als auch an der Sonne. Wer eine Bootstour machen will, braucht nicht wegzufahren, der Gastgeber macht ebenfalls solche. Ebenfalls kann man bei ihm Boote mieten, Tipps zum Fischen gab es dazu. Die Unterkunft ist ihren Preis wert, ist gut ausgestattet und Parkplätze am Schatten hat es auch. Besten Dank an alle

Clean, roomy and comfortable apartment. Great patio. Very good communication. Paula was at the apartment on our arrival to introduce the apartment. A nice port and cookies were provided gratis, which was appreciated. Breakfast provided every morning was tasty and convenient. Highly recommend.

We had stumbled upon this wonderful Quinta in the last minute on our way to Oporto. Couldn’t have been a better place. Us with a family of 4 had the best time any family could hope for. It felt like a movie, the property is beautiful with vineyards surrounding the Quinta. The hosts, Elena and Jose were lovely, helpful and very welcoming. We were supposed to stay one night and extended it to 3 and wished we could’ve stayed more. We will return, no doubt about. One of many Jewels of the heights of el Duero river.

das Anwesen wurde mit viel Liebe sorgfältig renoviert. Die Einrichtung ist auf hohem Niveau mit historischen Gegenständen. Die Wege entlang den Weinbergen erholsam. Eine herrliche Aussicht und bequeme Garten möbel. Die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter hat uns überrascht. Ein Haus mit Geschichte und gutem Wein.

Passei dois dias magníficos com a minha família à Casa dos Vinhais. O anfitrião, o José, é muito simpático, atento e prestável e fomos optimamente recebidos por ele. A casa é realmente especial com os móveis e louças antigas da família com a sala muito agradável e os quartos muito queridos. Aqui sente-se e respira-se a história. A vista da casa para o rio Douro é linda e nós não pudemos aproveitar para banhar no rio mas, nos meses mais quentes, daria para aproveitar bem o exterior. Podemos pedir para fazer o jantar lá em casa e o bacalhau com natas e a alheira preparado pelo José e Graça foi divinal. Para além disso, o pequeno-almoco está incluído na estadia e é mesmo delicioso! Espero voltar de novo aqui a esta casa. Obrigada por tudo!

Quinta da Xandica, located just outside of Valença do Douro village, was a fantastic, and unique experience. It’s rare these days to find an Airbnb hosted by a “real” (boots on the ground) host who is not only there to share local knowledge and accommodates your needs, but literally who also welcomes you in to the ACTUAL family home. It reminded me of a traditional bed and breakfast, in all of the best ways. (Including a lovely breakfast in a dining room!!!) The Quinta was home to Matilde”s great grandfather, and is shared today with her grandmother and father (three generations). It’s a working farm, and an all around charming, beautiful place. Even during our unseasonably rainy visit, the grounds and area was stunning. Practically speaking, the bed was comfortable & the water hot. Dinner made by Matilde was a reasonably priced and delicious with estate wine. We also thoroughly interaction with other guests, the chipped dog, “Bill”, and access to the surrounding area. A treasure!

We absolutely loved our time at Cidália’s beautiful property. Cidália and her son Aderito were amazing hosts and wonderful people. The room was comfortable and had stunning views (including rainbows). The breakfast was fantastic and filling. When paired with the view from the balcony made for amazing memories. We had dinner at the Quinta one night and we are so glad we did, so good! Highly recommend and hope we can visit again one day.

Quinta de Santa Marinha is a gem, and so is it’s host! Cidália and her son are two of the nicest, most generous people we have met! We were treated to a wonderful breakfast every morning and a delicious tapas dinner one evening. Cidália had many wonderful suggestions on what to do and where to go. We are so thankful to have had this amazing experience that they shared with us! And the views are jaw dropping!

The place is stunning and a perfect get away. Very peaceful with an amazing view and amazing breakfast! The instructions to find the Quinta were clear and after a first confusion in the town easy to find (just follow the signs). The dirt road leading there was a bit scary at first, but was perfectly fine. Deri welcomed us and gave some great recommendations for restaurants in the neighboring towns (would have loved to try the dinner in house but wasn’t available at the time), which we tried and loved. Wifi didn’t reach our room, but we didn’t mind that too much. We would definitely come back to relax and enjoy more of the surrounding area.

Foi o que procurávamos ! Uma estadia no campo, numa casa centenaria como se fosse a nossa casa de família. A realidade rural do nosso maravilhoso Portugal! Este tipo de experiências "enriquecedoras" em nada se comparam com um hotel ! Temos que ter "open mind" e saber dar valor à beleza do voltar às origens ! Tem uma vista fabulosa sobre a Régua e rio Douro !
