Charming Private Entrance Rental in AU/Tenleytown

This private suite was created in 2019 and is a perfect rental for visitors of AU Park. It is completely separate and isolated with its own outdoor entrance. It is in a beautiful NW neighborhood of DC with street parking (it is on the visitor to request visitor permit when you book- we are not responsible for tickets if you don't clarify you need a parking permit) and 3 blocks walk to the metro. Our family lives above the rental. We have children whose footsteps are between 7am-9pm.

Good location when visiting DC! Public transportations, groceries and restaurants around the neighborhood are very convenient. We saw some rats in the alley but they are in the property so that should be okay we just made sure we don’t leave any trash by the door or leave the door open for any given time. As mentioned by the host there was some noise but I think they are minimal though the pipe noise and heater noise did bother me for few days and did not get a good sleep but overall my stay was comfortable for the price. I had a brief chance to meet Tom and Adam and they were both very friendly and respectful of our privacy. I’m satisfied and would recommend!

The apartment was very spacious, clean and in a nice and calm neighborhood. The hosts did communicate in an excellent and fast way and helped us out with some smaller requests we had. We felt so comfortable in the apartment and enjoyed watching TV and cooking. In only a few car minutes you can visiting all the important sight. We can highlight recommend Michael and Regina.

The space was cute, cozy, bright, and had everything I needed, including an iron, washer/dryer, hairdryer, and even a toaster oven, which I love. The free DASH 33 bus, with stops a few blocks away, goes to King St. and Potomac Yard Metro stations. I messed up the first day in the rain, but you can look online to see when the bus will arrive at which stop and leave the Airbnb 15 min before it arrives at your desired stop. There are lots of good restaurants in the area, and an Aldi, CVS, and Walgreens nearby. Miss Shirley Temple is very sweet and friendly. I hope to stay again if/when I am in the area. My girlfriend and I LOVED Dana's, the stay was very spacious, comfortable, warm and welcoming. Dana provides detergent and the use of her washer and dryer so we were able to go home with clean clothes! Her place is in the cutest location and I highly recommend Virtue: Feed & Grain for dinner, the duck poutine was AMAZING. For dessert i'd recommend Kilwin's, we are from TX and this is literally the best ice cream ever. Honestly we regretted not staying here longer, if we could've, we would have cancelled our Hilton stay in D.C and stayed down here at Dana's cause it's truly worth it. We will definitely need to come back but we loved our time here, thank you Dana for opening up your home to us!
