Quiet, clean, and perfect

Absolutely perfect! I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay and our hosts, Sherry and David. My husband and I needed a place to stay for the week following his brain surgery at Duke. In lieu of staying in a nearby hotel and being sequestered in a room during his recovery, we opted to rent a few rooms in this beautiful home. This gave us the opportunity to cook healthy meals in the kitchen, enjoy some fresh air and warmth on the sun porch overlooking a peaceful lake, take quiet walks in the neighborhood, invite other family members to assist in my husband's recovery, and - most importantly - just feel as if we were "home". It was such a blessing to be pampered in this beautiful home during this challenging time. Sherry and David quickly felt like extended family and helped us with so much throughout the week to ensure we were well taken care of! We will absolutely be staying with this lovely couple during all of our follow up visits. This place is a true gem!

It is hard to believe that such an amazing place is so close to everything in Chapel Hill. The lake view from our room (French Master) was incredible and the house itself had everything we could want. We stayed here for our anniversary and would higly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a convienent but special weekend. Sherry was very responsive and the whole process from booking, checking in, and checking out was well organized and super easy. We will be back!

My fiancé and I were blown away by the beauty of The Lakehouse and hospitality of Sherry & David during our stay. By far the best AirBnB experience we’ve had to date, as the house was full of character, in the perfect location for us (close to the RDU airport and downtown Chapel Hill), and Sherry & David were incredible hosts. They were great communicating leading up to and during our visit, providing recommendations for restaurants and other things to do in the area. Upon check-in we were upgraded to the Swedish suite, we enjoyed great conversation over a couple of drinks, and were treated to a 5-star breakfast the next morning, homemade by David himself. Would highly highly recommend, and definitely plan to come back again ourselves. Thanks again, Sherry & David!
