Welcome to "Kusaki Momotose," a whole house rental limited to one group per day. The mansion, which was owned by a brewery during the Meiji era, was renovated and opened in 2020. Most of our staff are born and raised locally.Please let us know if you have any trouble finding a store or visiting a place during your stay! [An old house built 120 years ago] Iwasaki, with its vegetation, is located along the Minase River and was a key transportation hub during the era of river boat transportation.There were four breweries in the Meiji era, and they brewed sake that was so good it was dedicated to the Meiji era. This building is a renovated Takahashi family home that was used by the owner of one of the breweries, Mineno Asahi.

Farmhouse Inn Hoshiyuki - 1 group per day only, exclusive rental of a detached farmhouse

We accept reservations for 2 or more people. Seizekan, a farmer's inn, is located in the mountains about 25 minutes by car from Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture, and a 15-minute walk from Hachimangu Naganodairu Station on the Akita Inland Railway. Surrounded by rice fields, it is a quiet and natural environment. We renovated the second floor of a farm work shed that used to be a cowshed, and created an accommodation space with a kitchen, bath, and toilet. This space is for one group of guests per day. Some people say, "It's like returning to my parents' house." In the summer, we recommend that you spend a leisurely time feeling the breeze, and in the winter, we recommend that you lie back and listen to the sound of the boiling water in the hot water heater while facing the firewood stove. Please feel free to look into the vinyl greenhouse or go out to the hot springs.

Bonshuku U, a renovated 180-year-old merchant house, "Old Shibuyo-ya". The two "Uriso" buildings, unique to southern Akita Prefecture, one of Japan's leading heavy snow areas, have been renovated into guest rooms, connecting the main house and the storehouse with a large roof so that you can come and go even when it snows in winter. This is a box-type dormitory room inspired by the "oi", the trademark of the wandering painter "Minomushi Sanjin" who once stayed in the Shibuyo family's villa. There is a shared bathroom on the 1st floor, and the bedroom on the 2nd floor is a compact yet comfortable private space, so it is recommended for business use as well as for private use by single travelers and groups. This house was renovated from the former residence of the president of a company specializing in Akita's traditional craft of kaba-zaiku (crafts made from cherry bark), transforming it into a whole-house rental accommodation. We offer a variety of experiences where guests can 'apprentice themselves to a craftsman'. Beyond kaba-zaiku, we provide opportunities to learn directly from various 'craftsmen' – including fireworks, miso and soy sauce making, sake brewing, and Akita's local cuisine.
