The area is safe and quiet, and located close to the center. Ju as a host was proactive and helpful in many ways, and was willing to help us out with whatever we needed. I felt really comfortable staying there. One minor (even irrelevant) inconvenience for us was that one bathroom had hot water whilst the other didn't. It was not a problem taking turns. I would recommend the house to anyone wanting to visit Sao Tome.

The house is great close to the center and super safe even at night we have a security guard who takes care of us and the house, which is perfect. The house also has a generator, which is turned on whenever necessary, since the power outages in São Tomé are frequent. Huge house and comfortable for a large family.

A spacious pool area is framed by lush palm trees, providing a view of the ocean. The pool's inviting turquoise waters reflect the bright sky. A comfortable seating area is located on the wooden deck, offering a cozy spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

The photos of Hamilton's house do not do this pad justice. It is a stunning spot with an amazing view overlooking the coast and a sweet little island. The house itself is really nicely laid out and spacious. The kitchen is a little under equipped but we still managed to cook for 8 people. Hamilton was really welcoming and kindly let us come early and leave late from the house. We would go a flash.

José was a friendly and considerate host. His apartment was not available to us due to unexpected difficulties with water supply, but José already had alternative arrangements in place for us at a very nice guest house. We would definitely make contact with him again at our next stay.

Nice little traditional house, good location with terrace and garden. The house is simple, sufficiently furnished and there is a very useful fan at night. The neighborhood is lively but the location is quiet. You can walk to the city center. Good choice for visiting the capital and surrounding area.

Lovely and charming home. Elisa was kind and helpful providing a lot of recommendations of things to do. We were a bit confused of where to go and didn’t have phone data upon arrival - so make sure you get clear instructions of where the house is and preferably a driver or taxi organized before you land. Home had all the necessities. Thanks, Elisa!

communication with Waldyr was excellent before check in as well as during the whole stay. I stayed 25 days at this place. It is safe, clean, good neighbours. The place has got everything you need to stay comfortable and it is close to the centre of the town. However, you would be better off having a car or a motorbike during your stay as this makes things much easier. I will definitely be back to see my new friends

We had a lovely time staying here! We are three friends from Canada travelling here and Nesilay was extremely kind and fast response to any and all questions and requests. The breakfast included in the morning was delicious and filling. The location is perfect, the town centre is right there and everything is walkable. Overall a great stay and we highly recommend. Bernilda's place is a great value for money option in São Tomé. The location feels safe and is conveniently walkable to the center. Although the room I initially booked was under renovation, the replacement room worked perfectly—spacious, well-lit, with a working fan. The shared bathroom had good water pressure and offered hot water, making it very comfortable to use. Bernilda speaks English fluently and is happy to provide helpful recommendations for restaurants and activities, while her staff on-site are friendly and available to assist as needed. The Wi-Fi was sufficient for casual browsing, though it might be a bit slow if you need a strong connection for work. Bernilda also offers convenient airport pick-up and drop-off services for €10, which is a nice touch. If sharing the ride with others, it’s a good idea to confirm with the driver in advance whether the price can be adjusted. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend Bernilda's place!

The accommodation is a house in a beautiful local neighborhood very near the city central. The shower didn’t work yet but a water bucket is a quite local and fun experience. During my stay there was only Admar present. We communicated in Portuguese I even though my language skills are almost non existent we understood each other and had a lot of fun together. He went above and beyond for me, driving my around on his motorcycle, cooking food, showing me local places as well as tourist attractions. This is absolutely a big recommendation and I really cherish the time I had there!

Had a perfect stay here in the center of the capital. Safe and good place to stay. Also a good place to start your trip around the island. Amilson helped us all the way through our stay. Easy to get a rental, exchange money or organize tours. best local guide! Breakfast is 8€/day/person. Well-done with local fruits. Good service, clean and nice pool.

Very pleasant stay at Josefa's. It is a very well-equipped family home that has everything you need to stay comfortably. The lack of air conditioning did not bother me, there is a fan in the room and the common areas are well ventilated and cool. The house is impeccably clean. A place of peace and quiet. Pleasant and friendly meeting with Josefa, generous and attentive to the needs of her guests. I really recommend it.

Mario helped me to get all my questions answered before arriving. He is also a great guide and showed me many places in the whole country during my stay. It’s very difficult to find someone who speaks English in São Tomé so it was great that I had him as a guide. The accommodation is located in a very safe area. The breakfast includes some fresh fruits from the garden. Good value for money. I definitely recommend you to stay here if you come to visit São Tomé!

Very nice, great location, for those who want to be close to the airport on the eve of boarding.

Filamena and Hugo were wonderful hosts (though I only had the chance to meet Hugo). I set up an airport pickup which made check in easy. Hugo is friendly, intelligent, and speaks fantastic English.
