This playful cabin offers a unique spot to unwind and explore the Schoodic peninsula and Downeast Maine. Kayaks are provided to explore island studded 462 acre Jones pond, a 10 minute walk down a trail. A 10 minute drives brings you to the less visited Schoodic section of Acadia NP, where a network of hiking and biking trails lace the coastal forests and dramatic rocky coast. Nearby Winter Harbor has shops and restaurants and even a ferry across the bay to Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island.

We are nearing the end of a long renovation, so you will find some projects unfinished (mostly exterior). But, we hope that won't stop you from having a great time exploring the area. New floors, kitchen, lighting, and hot water heat pump - we've poured a lot of love and energy into making this a great spot for our family, and yours!

The Seamist Cottage - Converted Historic Barn
Cozy, fully converted historic barn within easy walking distance to the rocky shore of Bass Harbor, a busy lobstering port. An ideal, pet friendly, home base while exploring Acadia National Park. The Seamist is located on "the quietside" of the island. Six minutes from Southwest Harbor and thirty minutes to Bar Harbor, the Seamist also offers guests private hot tub access! Two guests maximum, not a suitable space for children. Please keep allergies in mind when booking. No smoking.

We offer super comfy beds, beach cruisers, an outdoor shower, hot tub, twinkle lights, summer nights filled with fireflies, bright maples in the fall, and a cozy wood stove in the winter.

Birch Hill Cabin is set on the side of a hill, surrounded by almost 8 acres of woods. The cabin is 288 square feet, and the bathroom is detached and located approximately 20 feet from the cabin. A hot tub is conveniently located off the deck for ultimate relaxation! This cabin is tucked away, surrounded by nature! But also conveniently located to so many wonderful spots in the Midcoast! Come enjoy the peace and quiet, where you can rest and recharge!

Coastal Studio in Ellsworth
This comfortable, furnished studio apartment is located just 30–40 minutes from Acadia National Park—perfect for a peaceful getaway. Come relax and enjoy some outdoor living with your own fire pit area (bundle of wood included) and a propane grill. The space sleeps up to four with two queen-sized beds, and a Pack 'n Play is available upon request. We’re pet-friendly, but kindly ask that you let us know in advance if you’ll be bringing a furry friend.

SNOW SWEET, A Yurt for All Seasons
Snow Sweet at The Appleton Retreat is very private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt faces the Field of Dreams and has a nice view of Appleton Ridge. It features a private therapeutic hot tub on the deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.

Cottage 15 is a lovely rustic cottage with one king bed, a full bath with shower, A/C, mini-fridge, cable, television, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, coffee pot, microwave, and free Wi-Fi. As with all guests who join our Ohana, there is full access to the indoor kitchen downstairs in the main building, the outdoor kitchen and grill, full access to the common use hot tub, and the bonfire pit on the back lawn.
