A double room with Abancay bathroom, Apurimac (301)

I liked the place, the room was relatively large and comfortable. The place was clean although a few months and doors looked old and worn out. The location is very convenient, 100 meters from the central square. The Wi-Fi was working even though it was slow, the hot water was working even though I had electricity a couple of times when I picked it up. It's not the nicest place I've ever had but it was clean and useful enough to rest easy and be able to go for a walk during the day. I recommend this stay if you are one of those looking for a central place to rest easy and comfortable. If you like a clean place with "everything new" better to spend more.
A row of rustic cabins with thatched roofs is illuminated softly against a mountainous backdrop. The surrounding pathway is lined with small lights, creating a serene ambiance in the evening setting. The mountains rise majestically behind the cabins, hinting at the natural landscape.

Andean cabins in Soraypampa

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming place! The location was perfect, close to everything yet peaceful and quiet. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable with a spectacular view. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed. Food was delicious. I can’t recommend this place enough – it truly felt like a home away from home!
Several wooden chairs are arranged on a grassy area, offering a scenic view of rolling hills and distant mountains. A small potted plant is seen on the ground, complementing the tranquil outdoor setting under a cloudy sky.

Casa de campo Sarawasi Hostel-Restaurant

What can I say? Juan Carlos is an incredible host, maybe the best I’ve ever had! His communication was on point and his hospitality is unmatched. My group was unexpectedly delayed, which resulted in us arriving 3 hours after we were suppose to… When we arrived, Juan Carlos was greeted us outside, walked us to our room, and had prepared tea and snacks for us. When we woke up the next morning, Juan Carlos served us a delicious breakfast before our hike. Pictures from the dining area don’t do the view justice, it’s absolutely stunning! I highly recommend this place if you’re planning to start your hike from Mollepata!
A row of eco-friendly wooden cabins features transparent roofs and a natural wood finish. The area is surrounded by lush greenery and colorful flowers. White outdoor seating is positioned around a small table, inviting relaxation amidst the scenic mountain landscape.

Soraypampa Hostel near Lake Humantay/Salkantaytrek

The dome was a very nice experience to look up at the stars through the glass ceiling while warm in bed. The blankets are enough to stay warm on cold nights. The place is really a hostel and most guests are there for the Salkantay Trek, so don't go with Western standards expecting a fancy hotel. The community bathroom was in average condition at best, but it is the best bathroom you will find for the rest of the trek. Meals are served to everyone at the same time. The food quality was mediocre and there are no choices; you get what you get. I took a colectivo from Cusco to Mollepata for 20 soles then they arranged a private driver up to Soraypampa which was a beautiful 30 minute drive. Meals are 20-25 soles. Breakfast was tasty but underwhelming in terms of quantity, especially when preparing for an 8-10 hour hike. Considering how remote the location is, they do provide a good experience overall. I would definitely stay there again.
